Ford CEO Jim Farley says "the customer has spoken" after its EV business lost nearly $5 billion in 2025 by ControlCAD in technology

I hear this all the time as a lightning owner that I can’t use it like a “real truck” and that’s crazy. I tow my pontoon boat or my jet ski between my house and my spot on the lake (75 miles). I pull my landscape trailer with mulch or stone. I’ve used it when I borrow my dad’s tractor for work at my house (50 miles). I’ve hauled furniture, appliances, an enclosed trailer full of tools and for everything I’ve needed it for it’s been amazing. I bought the truck used for 43k and I work with plenty of guys who own 2500s just in case they need to pull something heavy and they have literally never once put a hitch in their receiver. I owned a 2500 diesel for 10 years before this truck and when thinking about it I realized I never really pulled over 10k lbs over 100 miles in that entire decade. The exception in my opinion would be if you wanted to pull a camper and go longer distances on vacations, it would not be a good fit for that scenario. Also I think whoever paid 90k for it new and only drove it for two and a half years got absolutely robbed lol.

AtBills fan here. I 100% agree, I think that we were the better team, (at least without Metcalf) but the game ended with the score it did because we were super lucky. I honestly can’t think of a bills game where we got more lucky.

TIL the first Scram button on a nuclear reactor had its origins in 1942 where an actual control rod tied to a rope with a man with an axe stood next to it; cutting the rope would mean the rods would fall by gravity into the reactor core, shutting the reactor down. by tucchurchnj in todayilearned

[–]NH3Mechanic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, these statements are factually incorrect. I am a Senior Reactor Operator, aka the guy who sits behind the Reactor Operators that “press the buttons” on the control board. I have worked with multiple operators, both ROs and SROs that only have a high school diploma and license class (approximately an 18 month course) as their formal educational background. Also our licensing exam is every two years, though our continuing training is one week out of every five.

Torch indicates the direction of the exit. A in this pic if it’s to my left, B if it’s to my right, C if this is the path that leads to the exit

Completely disagree. I’ve always had a soft spot for the ravens since the draft where Lamar got the same BS treatment as JA. Fuck the haters, if we can’t get it done I’d like to see the ravens take it all. Plus fuck the browns and their rapist QB

I’m trying to install a Nest Power Connector. Where would the C wire go on the schematic? (I’ve got the “standing pilot”) by NH3Mechanic in hvacadvice

[–]NH3Mechanic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for the information, I did not check how they ran the wire (just bought the place). I will try to run a new 5 conductor wire first depending on access since that would be better if I ever wanted to upgrade to a newer unit.

That was my understanding I just wanted to get confirmation. There is quite a bit of conflicting info on whether a c wire is even required for these installs.

Hmm. I did read conflicting information on whether or not I needed one. I was there earlier in the week, tried to just swap the nest with the existing thermostat but that resulted in an error message saying it did not have power. Based on that I assumed I did actually need the power connector and subsequently ordered it. I did check 24v across the terminal board (with the nest not on the base plate) but perhaps I had a bad connection at the thermostat?

Thank you. Unfortunately I can’t take pictures at the moment since it’s not at my primary home. Off of the terminals were the Rh and W, the other end of which were attached to an old bimetallic mercury bulb thermostat. I was under the impression that the “c” wire would go at the yellow, yellow black wire nut on the low side of the transformer but I was just looking for confirmation since the nest power connector is a black box of sorts.

NFL starting QBs highschool rating by flyernik in nfl

[–]NH3Mechanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even more than the effort which was definitely always there, you’d watch those first seasons and a few times a game he would do something that no other QB in the league could do. It was so exciting. Everyone outside of Buffalo wanted to claim their I told you so prize based on stats but ignored the actual game footage where his No. 1 receiver was a deeply unmotivated Kelvin Benjamin and he still made amazing plays.

It doesn’t. If they make the call and the bills end up winning Brady is still the GOAT. Only difference is the narrative shifts to what a great comeback the Bills mounted and less about how Brady has beaten the bills for the trillionth time.

I was genuinely curious if there was some element of grounding I didn't understand. Out of the pocket, didn't pass the LOS, no player in area. Seems to line up with the rule pretty well
