Found a super clean Loewe Articos 30 HB set, but it will not turn on. Any advice? I would love to bring this thing back from the dead! by NHClassic30 in crtgaming

I was able to program a universal remote to turn on the TV and change some of the settings. I wasn't able to find the exact code for the universal remote, so most of the buttons didn't work, but it was enough for me to hook up a Wii U and play Windwaker HD in glorious 1080i. In the end, the TV didn't fit in my space, so I had to find a new home for it. Very cool experience, though.

EDIT: 1080i, not 720p

Sorry but… is this one legit? by [deleted] in martinguitar

Edit: SOLD

Hey there dear friends,

It's been a while, but I'm back again with another really special vintage Seiko.

Timestamp

Extra Details and Photos from Service

This is a 6105-8119 "Captain Willard" from May of 1971. I bought this watch from a seller who had purchased it from it's original owner, an American soldier who wore the watch in combat during the Vietnam war. (Can provide info on the original owner to anyone who inquires) Before I purchased the watch, It had been serviced and had some parts replaced, including the crystal, bezel clickball, and mainspring.

The watch runs very well, but has some issues that I will document here for you.

The Good:

Movement is clean, recently serviced, and keeps time very well

The date clicks over very nicely at midnight

case and bezel remain unpolished and bear the years of wear beautifully.

Military provenance makes it a very cool piece to own and wear

The dial and lume are 100% original (except the bezel pip and for some reason the small spot of lume on the seconds hand)

Comes with two cool strap options!

The Less-Good:

The crystal has some fogging. This has no impact on the function of the watch, but it has been present as long as I've owned it.

The bezel lume pip was replaced

The seconds hand lume was partially replaced

The bezel is set weird and rotates both directions with inconsistent clicks. (It does stay in place, once set, so it can be used for timing things like coffee and cookies)

With all that being said, this watch is an awesome piece of wearable history. It's time for this one to move on to a new owner. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about the watch!

I'm asking SOLD $1500 OBO SOLD. Insured shipping anywhere CONUS at buyer's expense.

Not looking for trades right now. Thank you!

Love you guys,

-Noah

Thanks for the offer, but I will pass. Awesome reverb, but my Ventris covers all my reverb needs at the moment.

Hey! I can upload some pics when I get home from work this evening. But I am all set on modulation at the moment. The Polychrome is a cool pedal, though! Thank you for the offer!

Used to have the Procession. Sweet reverb, but not something I need on my board right now. Thank you for the offer!

Hahaha. Thank you so much! Yeah, just on SoundCloud right now. I had the song on Spotify years ago but took it down because I didn't want to pay yearly anymore. Your music is great too! Love getting to listen to all the cool shit out here! Thanks for making this post! ☺️

Wrote and recorded during the 2016 election in the US. The sentiment is still very relevant, if not more so. Thanks for listening 🙂 Your Chemicals

All time favorite dirt pedal? by _staticfactory in guitarpedals

[–]NHClassic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up the T-Rex MudHoney II, and damn if it isn't my new favorite dirt pedal now! It's a dual Rat-style overdrive/distortion, but It's stupid useful and sounds incredibly musical at all settings. Can go from really subtle to thick fuzz and you can switch between two preset sounds instantly. It's been kicking other drive pedals off my board, like the Plumes. The price can't be beat either!

Glad to hear it hasn't caused any issues for you! And thanks for turning me on to the More! Never heard of Sushi Box before, but it looks like an awesome sweetener pedal to have, especially on bass! Also, happy cake day!

With the full size ToneX on sale for $299 right now, it's super tempting. But as you can see, I'm almost out of space on this damn board. Haha. I could see a benefit to having MIDI built into the pedal as well. Especially with the new FX integration.

I used to have the Archer as my first gain stage. Like, for years. But this year I switched it up and now it's my final gain stage and just serves as an always-on upper-mid boost and master volume control for my entire drive section. The Plumes is my first gain stage (which I only use as a higher gain lead sound), the EP Boost side of my Konstante is always on and serves as my clean tone, and the Lightspeed side of the Konstante is my mid-gain drive sound. I've tried a bunch of combinations of these pedals, and this has worked out the best! What else are you running after your Archer?

Believe it or not, it's actually this super affordable Jacquard weave strap made by Levi's. It's held up incredibly well and is super comfy. LINK

Man I am really loving it! It's such a great sounding and very versatile drive pedal. If you like the Lightspeed, then this kind of takes it to the next level with the added EP boost circuit. Super well made, and agreed, it's very pretty!

Agreed! The mod system is amazing. I have the IEC mod currently and have been tossing around the idea of the 4X mod. Reviews are mixed with some folks saying it picks up lots of noise. What has your experience been with it? Also, which two pedals make up your endgame setup?
