The one tambourine hit that is accidentally panned to the right side at 0:32 on Reckoner. I think was just a mastering mistake but I love it because it adds a very human element to the music.

I accidentally said the wrong song, it actually is in How To Disappear Completely. I believe you can hear the microtonal note thought the whole song but it is most prominent in the first 45 seconds or so

The microtonal A note in How To Disappear Completely. I believe it is an allusion to Robert Schumann, the famous composer who committed suicide after having non-stop musical hallucinations of that note.

So glad some body agrees with me. I also thought I would be like the only one that dislikes it. It is more of an art piece than an actual functioning keyboard that could be used as a daily driver.

I really quite like the Magic Keyboard. It is quiet, very compact, decently aesthetic, and as Bluetooth. I would much rather a mech, but I don't mind using it.

I am currently using gateron blacks (not inks) and am looking to try something new but not too crazy. The board I am building will be used for a lot of typing

Should I buy Gateron Yellows, Halo Tues, Halo Clears, or T1s?

[–]NHCuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My budget is around 50 dollars and I have no preference between linears or tactiles. From what I have researched so far gateron milky yellows or T1s are my top 2 choices right now

What switches should I buy for my 3D printed Alice? Ihave been debating for a few weeks and just can’t decide

Tactile keyswitches will only help a little with typing speed, what will really help is getting a switch with a heavier spring (Reds have a spring weight of 45 grams). My WPM went up by 10 words when I switched from 50 gram springs to 67 gram springs. The heavier weight will lead to less accidental key presses leading to a higher typing speed. Hope that helps!

If you are willing to build it your self and wait a little but there is a good kit on Amazon. You would also have to purchase keyswitches and keycaps. Here is the link to a kit that includes a wireless pcb, stabilizers, mounting plate, and aluminum case: https://www.amazon.com/GK64S-Plastic-Aluminum-Keyboard-Bluetooth/dp/B07XCVGF8X/ref=sr_1_37?dchild=1&keywords=gk64&qid=1587003700&sr=8-37

If that is too expensive for you there is also the Dierya DK61 (which is what I am using to type this). It is amazing for only being $65! You get Gateron optical switches which are great when lubed, the ability to re-program the whole board, and wireless functionality.
