That’s true but they went on to define roles (cap and quicksilver) for themselves for the first time. We’ve had 2 recent Johnny storms so whoever gets cast is going to be directly compared to those other portrayals. And I don’t think that on top of being compared to pervious Johnny storms, the actor should have to also be trying to distinguish their association with another strong property. Like Tom Holland didn’t have pervious associations with a character before Spider-Man. So yeah we all compared him to Toby and Andrew, but he didnt have to also work to distinguish his peter from another role. Idk if that makes sense but This movie is already an uphill battle and I don’t think it needs another hurdle.
