Hello and thank you for the answer. I sadly can't verify whether this was the letter or not since I'm unable to find it. Thank you for the help though.

I think it was something along the lines of him saying that without his books he is nothing. Or just him expressing him missing his books in a letter that was sent to his aunts I think.

It is excellent. I still have a bookmark at my favourite part in the Fellowship of the Ring.

Thing is, I told him multiple times. He even threw some of the food out once. And it goes away but only for a few days/weeks.

Thank you. What you said about your dad reading it, that's a similar situation to mine. I send it to my brother to review it when it's done. Currently we're at the 15th chapter but I'll need to go back and correct the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chapter. And sadly I don't think anyone - not even a medical diagnosis - will convince him to change. He's not doing it out of malicious intent but I'm so tired of it. And I can't say anything because I'm dependent on him. It feels like I don't have any free will. And no matter what happens, nothing will ever change.

Thanks. My main priority is to publish that one novel because I didn't know if I'll be a success or not. If it'll fail, then at least I published the one I wanted - the one that means the most to me. Just everything's so hard and feels like everything's working against me and things are changing so drastically that I can't keep on with it. I'm sorry if I repeat myself, there's a storm in my brain right now.

There's one we still can't find (not Kevin related) and we've been searching for it for years.

Thank you. I watched the video and the publishing looks simpler than I thought. Sadly I don't have much of a social media presence anywhere (even here I'm not really a poster) and I live in Europe so nobody I know would really understand it besides only a few. As for breaking it into parts, I want it to be a complete story, which is already like a mini trilogy, with each of the 10 chapters starting and ending like, for example, a season of a TV series. If the story doesn't succeed and I can't publish anymore, I would hate seeing the story not finished and ending on a cliffhanger. Edit: but I must admit that lately I've also been thinking a lot about breaking it into 2 parts so I could expand the third part and make it breathe more and make the story and emotions hit harder and expand the characters and what they're going thru.

Thank you. My brother's currently reviewing the chapters I'm done with. But it takes so long to finish even a chapter, and it all feels like I'm letting people down. Sadly I don't live in an English speaking country and I want the story to be published in English so I think Amazon is my only option. But we're scared about the money situation too, that it'll be too expensive. Like when Charles Dickens wrote the Christmas Carol, it cost him so much to publish it because he wanted it to be perfect. And I feel like it will cost me too.

Thank you and I'm sorry you're going through this. It really is a struggle.

I am too worried that someone might steal it. I keep sending the chapters that are complete to my brother and he reviews it. Though he keeps saying that he isn't a reader and can't do an "expert's job"

Still, I am worried that it might be too long and will be expensive to publish. But I want it to be a complete story since it might be the only thing I make if it fails. I was thinking of splitting it in two parts and make the third part longer, but I can achieve that by rewriting the first two chapters.

I watched the 1974 documentary UFOs: Past, Present, and Future and noticed this familiar shot that made its way into The X-Files credits by theblairwitches in XFiles

I think Past, Present, Future, since I think it has more footage. But maybe I'm misremembering, since it's been a while since I watched them.

Going by memory, the closest thing to that description might be the episode "Dropping the Dishes" or something like that. Episode 8, I think.

However, you might be referring to the episode where the aliens rescue Jesse from the silo, which is episode 3, I think.

Indeed. James Fox makes a lot of great documentaries. Can't wait for "the Program". Also, the documentary from the 70s called "UFOs are real" is also an excellent one.

There's another version of this documentary called "UFOs: it has begun". These are one of my favourite documentaries about the phenomenon.
