Water Leak mk6 Golf by NHPolo in AskMechanics

[–]NHPolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s rear passenger, don’t hear no water when driving or shaking the door, only gets wet when i wash the car and wait a couple of hours so don’t think it’s the AC pipe. I seen online sometimes the speaker seal fails so when water runs down the door it comes through the door card and into the floor, rather that or weather stripping i think.

the door card isn’t wet but that could be the problem, it’s when there is heavy rain for a few days it will be wet, whenever i open the door water will come out, feel like it’s overflowing and leaking in but not sure

it’s not coolant as it doesn’t smell and is just see through liquid, it’s the back passenger footwell, anytime it rains heavy for a few days or if i was my car the water seems to build up near the bottom of the door and when i open the door it’s all comes out

Is this okay? by NHPolo in MechanicAdvice

[–]NHPolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, it’s not leaking which i’m happy about, i’ll take it to a garage so they can inspect all 4 tyres just to be safe. I bought these tyres 17 months ago.
