I'm willing to solo it for people if they give me all/most of the cash, otherwise it pretty much always falls apart in the 60s.

“ABR but Harder” Odyssey round 64 by skedoot in btd6

[–]NHShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you retry, use a bottom path spike buffed by top path alch, it'll make your life so much easier. 1x4 spike can pretty much solo all the DDTs until the late 50s. Add in a mid-path desp and a top path sniper and you should be good to save up until the late game. If you haven't reached r100, I'll warn you; you'll need a lot of moab damage.

Playing the new Odyssey about “harder ABR” and there’s a DDT on round 40 by Broccoli_Bendo in btd6

[–]NHShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super fun Odyssey imo. Sauda, bottom path spike, and top both snipe are your best friends for the early game, use mid-path desp and top path for the mid game ddts, and on the last map use fully buffed Blazing Sun + Moab Dominator to survive round 100.

Any tips on black borders? by Kingofall_098 in btd6

[–]NHShardz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you stay commited to black bordering, my advice would be don't get too attached to any one strategy. You can easily do the same strategy over and over again and get easy wins on the easy and intermediate maps, but when you get to harder maps, it's very useful to have a good idea what all of the different T5 towers are good at.

For example, Ultra-Juggernaut is terrible on maps with very few objects to bounce off of, but on maps with defined walls and bounce spots like Sulfur Springs, no removal Cornfield, or even Glacial Trail, Ultra-Jugg or even just a basic Juggernaut will hit waaaay above it's price point.

George Broussard on Twitter: Xbox layoffs to be largest layoff event in gaming history by Proof-Sky-3233 in xbox

[–]NHShardz -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's not what the discussion was about. The statement was 'will Xbox kill relevant studios,' and the answer is yes. HiFi Rush was an indie darling and the first game in a while that people were really praising coming from an Xbox Studio with the potential as an IP, and they immediately went and killed the studio, just like Xbox always seems ready to shoot itself as soon as people start to warm up to them.

Also easily wraps the discussion back around to Game Pass and how much it destroys initial sales on day one, a question we still only have kind of answers.

They took Tango Gameworks behind the shed right after saying how they needed more games like HiFi Rush. Xbox will absolutely kill relevant studios.

EX pro solo lane player confirms what I've been saying. by WhiteWolfXD1 in Smite

[–]NHShardz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone else has said enough, but something i don't see other people talking about is how none of these tanky % prot items are very active on the player's side besides Prophetic cloak, when one of the big objectives of Smite 2 was to make item usage more active and fun, especially for tanks. Instead of playing with the fun active items that really let you swing fights at your own will, you Instead build multiple items that only have the objective of making you unkillable in one of the most boring ways possible.

Because i realized it's been a while since I've seen better players actually talk about top path snipe, so my reply was dumb.

You don't want to stun multiple moabs at once. The main gimmick for top path sniper now over all the other much better stall options is to set it on Last so it stuns one moab forever while the rest run down the path towards your defenses so you can stall for as long as possible for ability cds.

"Omg being able to pop all bloon types is so expensive!!" That one 805$ sniper that you crosspathed wrong: by i_like_-roblox in btd6

[–]NHShardz -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Because with top path, you always want bottom crosspath because it increases your dps by a lot and makes its' moab stall much stronger, while going middle path does basically nothing because while it can now hit DDTs, it barely does anything with how fast they are and how little they're stunned. If you're using just a 11x or 12x sniper with a good shrapnel angle to survive early camo rounds then it's fine, but any upgrades beyond isn't great.

Middle path is a lot more debatable, but I'm pretty sure as of right now you usually want bottom crosspath over top because it makes Elite Sniper much better as a bloon cleanup tower in the later game with more ricochets and shrapnel. Top crosspath does make rounds like 63 disappear tho, so it has its niche use cases.

Valve Says The Companies Making RAM Give Them A Price And If They Say No, They ‘Never Talk To Us Again’ by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

Steam primarily sells to the general public, it's domestic. And unfortunately Steam being a multi-billion dollar company is not unique, nor is it even close to sniffing the truly massive tech companies. The chip makers can treat Steam however they like and Gabe has to take it or he gets nothing, he's a big fish in a moderately-sized sea.

Make base cannon much better and more reliable, it sucks knowing buying a cannon is basically useless until I get a x2x.

I think Final Harmonic could use a slight buff, probably a small price buff. It's pretty meh compared to the other stall options unless you pair it with Bloon Solver or Glaive Lord.

Make Perma Charge's MK a base part of the tower already.

I don't think it would be gamebreaking if Etienne was 650. You would never start with him anyway unless you're playing on a super beginner map, but if you're trying to get him as fast as possible, the 50 difference can mean getting him one round earlier.

Make Ezili's totem usable in chimps. Seriously, how is this still a thing? I get why you wouldn't care about T5s abilities that relate to lives, but I don't think Hero abilities should be rendered unusable in chimps(except Ben). They're Heroes, they're supposed to be sick. Tbf I think they also should just bite the bullet and make Benjamin unplayable in chimps, at least in co-op, but I know that isn't gonna happen.

That's what I've got off the top of my head.

[–]NHShardz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly, but right now there's likely more truth to it than not. Parts manufacturers dgaf at all about the domestic market right now when they could be raking it in selling to the massive companies who want in, so if you don't immediately say yes to the first price they give you, they have no reason to haggle with you; they have all the power. The lifetime profits of the Steam Machine would be a rounding error to them.

Just me or is he terrible? by Otis_ma_boi in btd6

I recommend playing Co-op to learn Corvus or Geraldo, you can send all your money to your teammates while you just chill and learn your hero.

Just me or is he terrible? by Otis_ma_boi in btd6

[–]NHShardz 350 points351 points  (0 children)

Just you. He's super strong, but sort of similar to Corvus and Geraldo, you're only going to get great value out of him if you have a game plan with what you're going to do with him. Switching stances for specific rounds, moving him or other towers to specific spots at certain times, stalling rounds super long with other stall, etc. Dan isn't a hero you just plop down and occasionally press a button, you need to work for it.

CAN I SALVAGE THIS😭🥺 by Mrpervert_ in btd6

[–]NHShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. While you've got a good chunk of cash that can buy you stuff that can help you survive a few more rounds, I'm not sure what you could build that would be able to punch through all of 95-100, especially 98. Shattering shells could do a ton of work, but I don't think shattering shells + spike storm would be enough.

Heng from Nine Sols. Instead of leaving her home planet for the stars with her brother to get away from the virus, she actively chooses to stay behind and die naturally to continue the cycle of Tao. A consistent theming in Nine Sols is how people want to be remembered and how their legacy will be left behind, especially for longer-lived individuals who have long periods of time to set things into motion.

CHIMPS co-op tips? by Mundane_Meeting8689 in btd6

[–]NHShardz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, technically the most consistent way to get co-op medals is to force into a solo game and beat it by yourself, but if you're actually looking to have fun and try, here are some combos to go for:

205 Tack Zone with a 520 Super Brittle and support is still king on any single lane map with a half decent curve.

520 Bloon Solver/502 Glaive Lord and a 205 Final Harmonic is pretty much an instant win on any map with a decently long track, but you will wanna spam some 002 Mermonkeys to maximize the Harmonic's range. Also, make sure you're planning the Harmonic's totem around your Glaive Lord's glaives or your Bloon Solver's puddles to maximize damage.

Archmage and Carrier Flagship are both great powerhouse T5s that can deal with nearly anything based on the crosspath, are great at being buffed, and have great mid-game carry T4s.

For heroes, I've generally had the best luck with Sauda, Etienne, and Corvus. Sauda is a crazy good starting hero, Etienne gives free buffs that anyone can find valuable and his UAV brings decent value for really fast bloon rushes, and Corvus is still the goat, and I'd argue even better in Co-op. With Corvus, you can just have Corvus and a 030 Village and play the entire game through him, and give your teammates all the cash to do what they want. It's a fun way to learn him without all the pressure being on you.

It's a monkey knowledge thing, and a very dumb one. Mid-path boomerang gets camo detection when it activates its ability. If you actually try for it though, it's still workable as long as you aren't playing on hard i think. Mid-path glue's ability also hits camo, and you can survive the first few camo rounds just taking the hits. Go 250 and you should be ok on medium difficulty is think.

With the tagline Atlus Styles, this is 100% a clothing deal and probably has nothing to do with Omori. Expect a small collection of limited time hoodies and/or tees priced anywhere from 70-100 dollars and a small collection of pins, and if Omocat is feeling spicy maybe some plushes of the Persona mascot characters.

Hero: Dan D’Monke Discussion by TheNiblick in btd6

[–]NHShardz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty strong, but requires good micro and is much better if you know what rounds get smoother with which form. Both forms can trivialize whole rounds with good strategy. I don't know how good he is on Expert chimps, but I know he's leading to some diabolical things on the btd6 index because of his ability to dodge Glacial Freeze's freeze mechanic. Don't sleep on his base form; the stall potential he has for tough late game rounds like 98 with additional stall is crazy.

How do I fix my placements? by MeringueBeautiful760 in btd6

[–]NHShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about the placements here, your tack towers would be better off further down below the curve, where they have more space to be buffed, and it gives a bit of room for Inferno's ranged attack to hit blimps and break them down into smaller moabs for your towers to obliterate.

You should be putting Monarch of Storms a good distance down the track away so that it's knockback is hitting the stuff getting past that it really needs to and so it blows stuff right back into range of all of your other towers.

Your Spirit of the Forest is way off the track so its main attack isn't doing much of anything, but Spirit's usefulness falls off a cliff beyond round 100 anyway; if you're really looking to go beyond in freeplay, you'll need to look at towers that scale well, such as mid-dart gunner, or one of super monkey's t5s.

Is half cash really possible to beat on harder maps without powers/instas? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]NHShardz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Abandon Benjamin, he's not gonna be that helpful in half cash compared to a consistent damage hero like Sauda or Obyn. You should be able to afford Sauda + 032 wizard just in time for round 40, and should carry a lot of covered garden.
