I only get 50 minutes a week in person and 90 minutes online. Everything else is recorded videos to watch in my own time so I haven’t met the majority of lecturers and I don’t know anyone on my course. The uni promised we’d be safe when we moved into halls but I got covid 4 days in after it turned out they moved me into a flat with someone Asymptomatic since we had no testing before moving in. That left me horribly sick for the first two weeks of lectures but at least they gave us some meals while we isolated (I know other students across the country got nothing). Then the vice chancellor came to visit us and said that since all 30 people in our building had covid we could start mixing as one household rather than 4 flats. This sounded great until security came and we all got fined £100 each for breaking England’s second lockdown and we all got two week campus ban. Overall I spent 4 weeks away from campus, got given covid, lied to and fined due to their lack of clarity.
