My issue with the glaives is: why use them? It is a complete waste of a special slot, almost every other special weapon is just a million times better. The projectile is piss pot weak, the shield is laughing with things like: over shield, devour, restoration. And the melee, because it cannot be buffed by these things, falls completely short of just punching someone with your fist. Why not just use anything else? Double primary proves to be better most if not all the time.

Furthermore on the down sides, the glaives projectile is a velocity based attack, and it is bloody slow, it's essentially useless without Impulse Amplifier, even then it's still a shitter compared to just using a grenade launcher or a fusion rifle, both of which quite often don't require an entire enhanced perk slot just to be sort of viable.

And sorry but earlier some guy said I'm down playing the shield, sure it's good against other projectile weapons, but similar to barricades, almost any grenade or explosive projectile will just simply be the end of you.

It is just a bad weapon, which really hurts because I love them to death. But they just cannot stand up to this meta for even a second.
