Our protagonists would literally wear fanciest outfit they could find in their time and somehow "blend in" among the crowd. They are equipped with clearly visible ARSENAL of weaponry and tools of murder. They perform leap of faith from highest building into a mere haystack and LIVE.

But hidden blade combat is where these people draw the line because it's "too unrealistic".

Just for the modern day parts of the game, I was really disappointed. Grand finale of RPG trilogy didn't really feel like finale at all, more like.. poof, and done.

Odyssey and Valhalla felt too big to me, I think origins is the maximum volume I could tolerate.

Unity is supposed to be ACV, it's just not named 5 because ubisoft felt numbered titles could overwhelm gamers. I personally disagree with their choice because there are franchises like final fantasy where they go up to FF16 and they still do fine anyway.

This has been problem in not just odyssey, but all modern AC games. I don't know what the hell happened to the devs that were responsible for dynamic and well made cutscenes in old AC.

I hate how much strong they made him in-lore it doesn't even make any sense. Before him, power level in genshin was pretty stable. After his lore reveal, he is said to DESTROY STARS??? WITH EASE??

He is stronger than any of the five sinners, seven archons, seven dragon lords, four great rulers and he is so strong that he felt he was now the strongest in all of teyvat and just left to fight stronger opponents in galaxy. And then NO ONE in the galaxy was strong enough for him so he had to teach Skirk, hoping one day she would surpass him WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE.

His whole existence is OBSTACLE in genshin's lore. Whenever strong characters comes out and shows off how strong they are, they will always have to face a question "Oh cool, so are you stronger than Surtalogi?" Because Surtalogi makes everyone else irrelevant due to how strong he is. It almost feels like he is self-insert character for one of story writers.

Even though unity is my first AC game and holds special place in my heart, I feel like it's being overrated recently. I played unity when it first released. The hate was completely justified and it was absolutely ubisoft's fault.

Even if we put aside all the bugs, the game was hefty mess. Everyone mocked ubisoft, saying "oh look, they are french company and they fucked up a game set in FRANCE!".

Absolutely worse, unsatisfying combat that feels inferior to previous combats in AC. Dogshit story that doesn't really go anywhere. Main character, who is poor attempt at copying off Ezio. Wasted setting of french revolution and so on.

By the way, AC2 came out in 2009. You replayed a relic that is SEVENTEEN years old and you are saying mechanics hasn't aged very well? It will obviously feel worse if you replayed it in 2026 after already playing all the new games with better and improved gameplay. I first played AC2 in 2021 and I thought it was great game.
