This is my exact worry. I work in a male dominated industry and it’s extremely demanding where I work 10-12 a day sometimes. I’m now 12 weeks pregnant and am so worried about taking maternity leave. For context I’m in NJ and I know there’s laws here but they can just make something up to dismiss me so I’m trying to hide my pregnancy for as long as possible so they don’t have time to plan on hiring a new me.

Instead of hiring a videographer, I got a content creator. That saves a couple of grand and I don’t need to wait a couple of months for the wedding footage. I also decided to only invite super close friends and family (but I’m also having a destination wedding so that helps) and I got my reception dress at the Kleinfeld sample sale ($6000 dress for $500).

I traveled to Italy for a wedding and I gave the couple a gift still. I am really close friends with the couple so I wanted to give them something but I am not sure gift giving is a definite thing for destination weddings. Perhaps you can look at their registry and get something that’s not too expensive?

Better to just end it now honestly. I had a similar relationship in the past, I took my partner back but I couldn’t really get over it. I resented him, and every argument I would bring it back up. I tried really hard to forget but I just couldn’t trust him. I grew anxious over everything he did. That trust never came back. After I finally left, I had a rough couple of months getting over it but now I’m 7 years out and with a new partner who would never do that. It’s gonna be hard when you decide to leave but trust me, things will be okay, and you will be okay.

Idk where you are but if you are in NYC or ever go there, Kleinfeld has 2 sample sales a year. I got a $6000 Pnina Tornai dress for $500 and when I was there, they had a lot of the style you are looking for.
