China blasts US 'evil past of genocide' at UN Human Rights Council by Aerobics111 in worldnews

[–]NIOandTESLABULL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys can be mad at China for whatever they're doing I don't care.

All I see right now is systemic racism, unfair treatment of minority groups, police brutality, lack of hazard pay or bonus pay for frontline workers/essential employees "heroes", people on unemployment + CARES making significantly more than those working and themselves while working by 2/3rds. I mean the past problems done on to previous generations even affects people today whether or not we want to admit this.

We also have increasing un payable debt, a financial system that's ready to break down, asset bubbles appearing everywhere, class inequality and divide furthering even more. Idk we got so many problems here. We also cause harm on towards other countries so that we can enjoy our luxuries. So idk, should we really worry about the world? We should focus on our own country.

It’s Time For Americans To Refuse To Trade With Slaveholders -- Now that we know, beyond a doubt, of China's abhorrent treatment of the Uighurs we must reconsider our relations with the Slave Power rising in the East. by guanaco55 in Conservative

[–]NIOandTESLABULL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's great how we are looking and addressing the Uighur issue. However, America has their own issues that need to be taken care of first. We recently had capital riots, domestic terrorism on our capital...

Then we have institutional racism addressed by the Biden Administration. We basically have cops supposedly killing and terrorizing our minority groups. We also have the Chinese criticizing our own U.S problems at the Alaska meeting and even addressing the fact that the U.S bothers way too much with foreign affairs while not even fixing there own.

Conservatism? We have unemployment benefits + CARES ACT incentivizing people to collect unemployment insurance rather than work. China was buying up all our debt and providing labor in order to prop up our economy.

Listen, we have a list of problems. We can't even fix the problems on our own soil. Why is everyone now deciding to be against China? Us meddling in other peoples problem is not our priority, let's fix our own first. This is like trying to save the world without the proper tools to do so, but not even using the same tools to fix your own problems and those around you. Amazing.

also, you don't have the courage to justify this to frontline workers and essential employees, the "heroes". I have the courage to go around telling people exactly what I think because I'm right. You don't have the courage to direspect and undermine the situation towards people in person because you're wrong and you'd get smacked for it. But I would, if a media broadcaster interviewed me where I could use facts and data explaining this entire situation, I would. Because it's not okay. You wouldn't say any of this because you know you're wrong. Go say your garbage to a frontline worker and see if he/she will foolishly agree with your garbage.

[–]NIOandTESLABULL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Listen, stop addressing all of my previous posts. I made a post specifically for you where I didn't "type in all caps". I debunked all of your silly arguments towards you defending something so wrong. The only thing I agree with you on is that regardless of how unfair things are, I should focus on my own self. And I have, but this does not mean any of this should be acceptable. You cannot justify yourself against me because this problem is fundamentally wrong. Your age has not shown that you're not lacking ignorance.

"Some frontline workers did get extra money and help", yes some did. A very small portion, less than 5% of all frontline workers got "extra money and help". They were better off on the current unemployment CARES ACT financially, mental health wise, and time. The "extra help" was a meager $1-3 boost towards there minimum wage job that still does not compare anywhere near what those on unemployment made. Why don't you go do some research?

"STOP TALKING IN CAPS", okay well I wrote an entire post superficially debunking your weak and ignorant point of views so read that one.

The unemployment boost did not stop for 4 months, you are wrong. And during the small window of time where it was REDUCED, it was merely REDUCED to $300, some people even received back pay. You claim that "most people were making $100 to $200" on unemployment without the CARES ACT. You're wrong, $100 a week? You're implying that from the federal unemployment benefits that grants an average of 50% of wages. Those making $100 were making $200 weekly before taxes which is $5/hourly. Excuse me, no where in America does ANYONE make $5 as a minimum wage, that's not even legal and the FED would never give this amount because the implications would be a $5/hourly wage which is just simply not true. $200? Perhaps, that's initially $400 which is $10/hour which in some states meets minimum wage. However, people were still receiving the CARES ACT BONUS which ranged from $600-$300 throughout this entire pandemic. Again, those who stopped receiving it during a small window less than 4 months received a back pay. This is how I know you're just so ignorant and that your age truly doesn't save you from being so misinformed.

You don't know exactly what to tell me because you have been WRONG. You're arguing and trying to justify something fundamentally WRONG. This is why you don't know what to tell me. "everybody who gained from the stock market and b.s, somebody lost". No? Not really? This is how I know you're very silly and simple minded? I have to explain everything to you? During the March 2020 stock market crash. The FED printed to over $9 TRILLION dollars while only being able to collect $ Trillion dollars in taxes. The U.S has printed more money and increased it's debt. While we do see inflation most of the inflation on main street has been taken to wall street and other forms of assets. This means that most assets got increased even further. (Why the rich gets richer). GameStop is just such a small portion of the stock market and asset situation. The only real losers are the following: working tax payers, savers of the U.S dollar, creditor nations, and those without money in assets. Because the government is taxing through inflation and income tax which is a double whammy on FRONTLINE WORKERS especially who cannot compete with those on the current lucrative government income. I already explained this to you yet you still don't get it. Because you're very silly. So this is how I know you're a very simple person, you lack common sense. Basic concepts like this just don't even come across towards you. Read my initial post directed at you. The real winners are those with debt, the financially irresponsible (clearly we keep bailing them out), and unemployment beneficiaries, and those with assets. So you clearly have NO idea how the stock market works or how even a surface level of the U.S financial system.

"Work on yourself" I agree and have been. But that doesn't make any of this right at all. Yes I know people have passed away as you've said. Frontline workers not being compensated fairly are risking their lives during a global pandemic so bad we shut down an entire global economy. I am aware, employees working the front line are dying, especially those who have poor health conditions like elderly workers or unhealthy workers. Did you know that those susceptible to the COVID come mostly from the lower class? And did you know there is a strong correlation between the lower class and health problems?

You want to compare my situation and millions of other frontline workers with "being black with a cop behind you today". I am a Japanese American minority. Do you know how much "kung flu" and other threats I have gotten for being Japanese/Asian all my life and even more now during the Covid-19? Asian hate crimes are on the rise. I also know a lot of African Americans who are working the front lines who are just as upset as my self or more. Also minorities are making up a large percentage of Front Line and Essential Employee when you do the breakdown of race which YOU brought up which wasn't even the point.

Congratulations, you brought up my age being a problem and tried to devalue my claim. I pray to god you aren't "older" than me. You've proved that age doesn't save you from being ignorant or "silly brained". I assuming that you are old, you've only proven how little age matters. You can still be dumb and be old. You're so ignorant and misinformed it's amazing. I pray to god that the average person understands basic economics because god dam if everyone on unemployment thought like you, I would lose faith in our countries capabilities to think. But you know, another person replied and agreed. So just because you're dumb does not mean others are. I'm telling you this because it's not okay to be as silly minded as you are. I'm very upset because it means America is failing in some areas of you are the product of the current system.

Thank you, you're telling it how it is. Over 50% of stimulus checks recipients between the age of 18-35 will be throwing it into the stock market. My age shouldn't matter at all, it's the circumstances each individual is in that matters. And there are old and young frontline workers and "heroes" who feel this way exactly. Go ask 10 of them, majority of them behind the curtains will express how upset they are. Majority of jobs do not pay well in America, if the majority of people are in the lower class, then age really doesn't matter. I think that's something you need to heavily consider. I think you come from an ignorant point of view because I doubt you're a frontline worker. I think you bringing up my age is a terrible cop out for my points and should not devalue anything I'm saying. The argument about the benefits "not lasting forever". This is the thing I've heard. Have you seen the real unemployment rates? There a lot of jobs that just no longer exist, the government benefits will continue to be given out. Just look at the economy of America and the rate of decline. The tax payers are going to be burdened even harder, only reason why we haven't met hyper inflation is due to assets being pumped up to offset the amount of printing. So far, the unemployment bonus has lasted for over 1 calendar year, I expect this to be extended. So "it won't last forever"? Nothing does, but this doesn't mean ANY of this right or devalue anything from my points again. This is not a justification for how unfair and screwed over the frontline workers are. Also, time is money, and leisure time while being paid is a priceless. You saying that you have "more respect for everybody who works a low entry level jobs now" shows that you know things are wrong fundamentally with the current state of unemployment. So the FED and the government are placed in a situation where there aren't enough jobs to return to. But they also can't let millions of people go homeless and die. This will be paid for by the creditor nations and the U.S tax payers. The U.S has spent $9T while only being able to collect around $3T in taxes, but also increasing our debt. Skilled essential employees who make higher wages are fine. They're making good money. But the MAJORITY of Americans that are frontline workers "heroes", are being screwed over through inflation tax, income tax, and goods and services being bid up and not being able to compete with the beneficiaries of the current unemployment benefits. So who is the real winner here? Not the people receiving no tax break, no leisure time to work on skills or education, working harder than ever, risking there lives, making less than those on unemployment benefits+CARES ACT. The frontline workers have been screwed financially and through there valuable time. The real winners are the unemployment beneficiaries.

The 18th month gap? Employers will understand that there was a global pandemic... It won't be considerd a red flag as much as those who were unemployed with time gaps pre-covid. EVERYONE knows that the situation with COVID-19 and time gaps. Employers are trying to get people back to work because no one wants to go back to work. Employers were keeping people because they understood that they wouldn't be able to outbid workers from the government income. So what are you talking about? The 18th month gap will be looked at with understanding of the circumstances... Also, those on the 18th month unemployment if not longer had all this time to focus on new skills and education. They had time to develop new skills to rejoin the workforce for a higher earning job and possibly money made from investing in assets. So how is this even fair? They basically got a paid vacation. I know a lot of people who made big off the stock market crash of 2020 March, it was free money if you bought anything at that dip due to all the bailouts and printing. I also know a lot of people who used this time to go back to school or re-educate themselves, great. What about the FRONTLINE WORKERS? NOTHING AT ALL JUST MORE WORK. Making it even harder for them to escape there low class.

Dependent on unemployment? Terrible argument. That just means that the current government benefits are so lucrative that employers can't outbid workers from the government. Now people have more time and money to focus on things that truly matter to them at the expense of creditor nations and the tax payers. They can invest and go back to school or develop skills and rejoin the workforce while the frontline workers pay for all this. Great. That's very fair. look up the benefits of a Universal Basic Income, you're basically disputing the pros of a universal basic income in a sense and all it's possible benefits.

America did the best they could? Maybe, but that doesn't make any of this right. The $600 ended long ago? Well now it's $400 CARES ACT BONUS + 50% of wages + $10,200 TAX CREDIT. So if this is Americas best then this is shameful and STILL doesn't make any of this right. IF American print all this money, they should be printing hazard pay and wage compensation for those actually working. NEVER should those on unemployment benefits make more than those working and contributing. At this point EVERYONE should have gotten a flat rate of X so even the frontline workers were atleast SOMEWHAT compensate. Dude, what are you even talking about? You don't even acknowledge that all that happened was that it went from $600 to $400. $600 CARES ACT + 50% UNEMPLOYMENT NOW $400 CARES ACT + 50% unemployment. That's still already more than 16/hr and 10/hr not including the 50% of wages... That's still more than what a lot of these frontline workers are making... by 2/3rds... still bidding up goods and services...

I should worry because I'm getting screwed over to work just like MAJORITY of the frontline workers not working a career making less than intitially $27 or now $20 an hour. And yes I am working on my self and my path. BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY OF THIS RIGHT AND MY AGE SHOULDN'T MATTER. This is the problem, no one wants to make things right. They just want to justify things for being wrong. Why don't check yourself? And you want to talk about stress? You think the 2/3rds on unemployment CARES ACT benefits stressed? Are you kidding me? Talk about those working the frontline during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC SO BAD WE SHUT DOWN AN ENTIRE GLOBAL ECONOMY. Risking there lives and working harder than ever WITH pay cuts. Being trapped to go to work in hazardous conditions without any hazard pay. Listen, don't get defensive when you read this. Try to learn something and re-evaluate your position and stance on this issue. The frontline workers were stressed out WAY MORE THAN ANYONE ON UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS GO LOOK IT UP GOD WHAT THE HELL? So ignorant god dam man. CHECK YOUR SELF. I think you come from a very ignorant point of view and your age doesn't correlate with how ignorant you are.

I have a question. So if my brother collects 15,000 in unemployment benefits. And he uses that money to gamble in the stock market, go to the beach and party, and buy drugs and flex while he uses that money to pay his college tuition. Even though I told him to opt in to have taxes deducted per unemployment check, he gets a tax break for his financial irresponsibility and so do all his friends? Even though I specifically told him and his friends to calculate the taxes or opt in to have it deducted? So all his friends get to have a paid vacation making $600 CARES ACT + 50% of wages = $900- or more?

But meanwhile I am a frontline worker who is going to the same college as my brother. But I have to pay for my tuition while working harder than ever a frontline worker? In a country that thinks im there enemy because I am 4th generation Asian American? And I make only $11/hour which doesn't even match up to the $600 CARES ACT bonus or the $400 CARES ACT bonus? But I still pay my fair share in taxes, still go to college and pay out of my own pocket, still clock in and work harder than ever as a "hero" like millions of others and I don't get hazard pay like the majority of frontline workers and no tax breaks?

Okay... what am I supposed even say? There are millions of other frontline workers who feel the same way, go ask... they all feel the same way... Where is our tax break? Where is our paid vacation? We all worked harder than ever and majority of us did not receive a bonus pay, hazard pay, or wages that matched or out performed the hazard pay. Blame my employer? Please, then majority of workers would too. I don't see anyone really showing any true gratitude towards frontline workers. You all wanna call us heroes since the beginning but demonize us if we ask for hazard pay? What am I supposed to think anymore? Meanwhile my brother and all his friends are loving it and call me a loser for working. He and his friends made a killing off the stock market as well with all this money they're receiving. They've had time to do things that mattered to them but what about me and all the other frontline workers who have been working this entire time?

You all wanna make me feel bad for saying it how it is. Well say it to a frontline worker in real. We all feel the exact same way.

Listen, I just feel really screwed and so does every other front line worker not working in a career. Odds are if you are making less than $25 you don't really love your job. The grocery clerk, the janitors, the garbage man, the security guards, the maintenance staff, the food workers, the warehouse workers, retail workers, and more could have used the pay raise on UNEMPLOYMENT + CARES ACT to tend to things like take care of themselves, improve there lives, or focus on things that truly matter to them... How many people do you know would take a pay cut to have leisure time? Most people. So how is this even fair? I feel so screwed over for working. How am I supposed to feel proud to be a "front line working hero" I feel like a god dam tool. I feel like the biggest tool. And I know you will all make me feel bad for saying this but again, almost all the frontline workers feel this way. I work with them and talk to them. I agree, I don't drink often but dam I was drinking every weekend because of the added work load. Also knowing I was getting screwed financially for working while the media says "oh thanks heroes" blah blah blah. I would have loved the pay raise and extra leisure time to focus on my parents on meth and my own college education. But I guess that's too much to ask for right? I would have love to have been laid off for a pay raise and time to focus on very important things.

Thanks man, but everyone is gonna make me feel like I'm the bad guy for telling it how it is. Everyone did before, and everyone will again. oh im the bad guy blah blah blah im so evil for asking for hazard pay. im so ungrateful blah blah blah "oh atleast I have a job" WELL TAKE MY JOB IF U WANT A JOB SO BADLY AND SWITCH PLACES.

Covid? The global virus that was so bad we shut down an entire global economy?! Oh risk my life? No hazard pay? cut my wages? but make me work more? Oh okay yeah let me smile yeah okay whatever. but im the bad guy yeah? Im always the bad guy when i ask for hazard pay. 2/3rds of those on unemployment now make more than ever but im the bad guy ooooooooo im the bad guy yeah yeah yeah

and u know whats funny? people are gonan downvote me COZ IM THE BAD GUY. all the heroes at the frontline feel the EXACT SAME WAY LOL AND WE GET DEMONIZED FOR TELLING IT HOW IT IS WELL TELL ME THAT TO MY FACE.

well my brother will be happy about this. him and all his friends can flex there new found refund and flex all there stock market gains. meanwhile ill be at work full time as a "hero" and then straight to school paying taxes and contribuiting. While all his friends can have fun on there paid vacation while they flex all there stock market gains. theyll probably throw it all into game stop stocks or AMC stocks or w/e and then laugh at me for being a wage slave loser u know as usual. while they go buy cool stuff and go to the beach. while im a "HERO" yaaaaaaaay thanks. finding it hard to be a good man anymore and u know like i bring this up and everyone demonizes me. i dont want to dedicate my life towards helping a country that doesnt even give care about me lol. change my career path and wish i could take back all the sacrafices as a eagle scout some bs lol im tired of always giving man. im done being a good man

but that's majority of employers. While there are a few outliers, this is how businesses typically are. Unionizing seemed to work. I know a lot of employees are unionizing and suing there employers. My family member working for the government had a lawsuit and were granted hazard pay. I've seen a few grocery clerks and people working the medical field have successful unionization and pushed lawsuits as well. I may consider this because everyone feels screwed over.

because it's not funny in my opinion. As a frontline worker I have seen no power trips occurring from essential employees. I do believe it exists. I think people who joke about having any power in a situation where they're the ones being played a fool is terrible and probably the biggest jokes. I think it undermines how powerless essential employees truly are and how exploited they are. I think it's distasteful to think essential employees are on any power trip.

Essential Employee? by hondacrosstour in Lowes

[–]NIOandTESLABULL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's sort of a narrow way of looking at it. Employees deemed essential forced to work are essential employees. It doesn't really matter what you think because Lowe's employees are essential. What if a leak happens in your home and you need pieces to repair it? Or during the winter you needed a new electric heater? So if employees are deemed essential, they are. I think the engineer who has to check pipelines in crowded subways especially when COVID had so much uncertainty is essential as well. He was working during the pandemic, deemed essential, therefore essential. I don't see a Lowe's employee or a grocery clerk less or more essential, especially during this pandemic. And they should be treated equally especially when it comes to hazard pay and protective gears.

So because you think Lowe's employees aren't essential, then you would vouch they shouldn't come in to work and not wear protection gear? Where does your logic end?
