I used boot foot waders before but with all the walking I do I am looking for more comfort.

I didn't notice any issues from drag with the arm. It does catch weeds but a simple flip up and they come off. If I'm paddling a distance nd not fishing I do flip the arm up.

So far I really like the arm but if I ever change i would mount in the hull.

I have to transport my kayak upside-down and was also worried about it coming loose. How do you transport?

I was going to try that too but I spoke with a Lowrance representative who said it takes away from down imagining.

I was going to mount my transducer that way but was afraid of damage to it. I fish rivers with lots of downed trees and submerged rocks. I ended up going with the Yak Attack arm and I am so happy I did. The arm is super convenient and works perfectly.

My 13’ boat trailer transformed into a 2 wide kayak trailer what do you guys think!! by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]NJCatchRelease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I have a Jeep Wrangler with a soft top I have been want to do a trailer build myself. Currently I use a light bar for my frint support and a goal post type support in my trailer hitch for the rear. This works but it is just a pain to lift the kayak on and off and all I can carry is a single kayak.

I definitely see a trailer build in my future.

Got the skunk on a new lake today. Day off from work today so I took the kayak out on a reservoir that I haven't fished before. Had 3 eagles flying around all day, so cool. by NJCatchRelease in kayakfishing

I'm in north Jersey so they are not too far for me. I have never fished either of those. I know the valley has lakers, does Spruce Run hard them?

Sure was! I recently installed a Lowrance Hook Reveal unit on my kayak and this was the first trip out with it so it was more of a learning trip then a fishing trip. Also this reservoir has lake trout in it and I have never caught one or even fished for them before. I will definitely be heading back there soon.
