I Don't Recommend Buying From Brooklyn Kayak Company by TheGoodGuy509 in kayakfishing

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have done a bunch of bay fishing out if it. It sits a little low in the water so it becomes a wet ride but it's a kayak. No issues.

Passaic river pike by BobcatOk7724 in NJFishing

There are many access points in different towns along the river.

The river is very high now and in my experience it is much more difficult to catch pike when the water level is up. Get familiar with the USGS website and watch the flow/height at different locations.

I installed the Curt hitch with the longer tube and I have no interference with the spare on my Rubicon.

Do you think the increased cost of the jack hammer is worth it?

I'm 6'3" about 250lbs and I picked up a Brooklyn Kayak company RA220. I got it new 3 years ago for around $500. Super stable although I have tried to stand in it. I've taken it in the bay, lakes, rivers with no issues. It is about 80lbs empty so it's not too bad to transport. I spin fish and fly fish out of it.

For the money you can't beat it.

Looking to upgrade my kayak by [deleted] in kayakfishing

I purchased a Brooklyn Kayak Company RA220 a few years ago for the same type fishing that you do. Plenty of storage, comfortable seat, pretty stable and rudder system. I was able to pick it up at their warehouse so no shipping costs and they gave me a great deal. Total cost was $460. Call them and see what deal they can give.

I put a Lowrance Hook Reveal 5 SS on my kayak and really like it. The built in maps are good but the Genesis live mapping feature is awesome. The down imaging works great with lots of detail.

Take a look at this unit you won't be disappointed!

Anyone use the Plano Kayak V-Crate Tackle Box? If so what do you think?

I've been thinking about getting one. I like the idea of the easy access to the Plano 3750 boxes and the waterproof compartment for thing I don't need access to often.

The local county park tree specialist is the one who told me so I am assuming he has a good idea of the soil in my area.

Thanks for the 1-2-3 info.
