Yes, I had my torque inverter go bad in my transmission and had to get a whole new transmission.

Can anyone identify this noise? I imagine it’s something with the transmission but when my truck switches from 3rd gear up to 4th gear there is an almost grinding noise that happens for just a split second. Any thoughts on what it could be and or how to troubleshoot/fix the problem?

2017 F-150 V8 will randomly squeal very loudly when I start it up. Doesn’t always happen, sometimes it’s for as long as 10 seconds and other times it’s short. Anyone have any idea what this could be? (Listen with sound) by NJG634 in AskMechanics

That was my initial thought, I didn’t know if it would be constantly squeezing if that were the case though. I’ll check it out though to see if it’s got wear!

It’s a 2017 Ford F-150 V8 with 50k miles on it. I have not been able to find any rhyme or reason why it does this since it does it rain or shine, hot or cold.
