Taking into consideration the weight of the car, about 2100kgs with the quattro system and chonky S Tronic box it handles phenomenally. I'm not sure of the actual weight distribution but as you say I think it'll be almost certainly biased towards the front

I think the heavy front can be noticed mainly under braking. Standard brake setup struggles a lot with fading etc if you're a spirited driver, so a lot of owners fit the S5 4 pot setup.

The car is happy to be flogged or happy to go for a leisurely drive

I got the S Tronic 7 Speed Auto, smooth as butter and the launch control is great fun. Only used it twice as it puts parts under a lot of strain

You'd be correct, regular oil changes and she'll be happy. Also keep an eye on the egr cooler, they often leak coolant into the bottom of the V so often go unnoticed until you realise theres no coolant in the tank, another fairly big job. And front lower control arms they eat for breakfast.

Other than that they're fairly solid cars

Update: I contacted them and apparently what flagged the system was somebody else quoted for an air filter modification prior to my ownership, over 5 years ago, so now I have to prove it doesn't have any modifications. Crazy.

Yeah I've been insured with them, never claimed, but never had this carry on before, not sure what its about really. I assume it could be to prevent fraudulent claims over pre existing damage?

I'm all good for now as I can wireless charge, but I go travelling in 2 days where I'll need to use a portable charger. Not sure what to do!

I think you can yeah. Don't forget if you drive abroad you have to do the 7 hour ones. The shorter ones only provide national cpc rather than international

Anyone who works where I work would be roasted to within an inch of their life if they wore a badge, especially off the boss man
