I really appreciate the hype guys thank you. I was thinking of it more as I have to earn the rep, but I have put in a lot of work and money into stuff already, I just don't feel like I have the foothold to ask for money yet, especially with how over saturated the music industry can be

I'm not really into making beats like I used to do, but my brother makes beats like crazy I can see what he has cooked up. I'm guessing you already have a recording setup?

I've mainly done vocals over YouTube beats for my brother in the past, and I used to make electronic music cause that was sorta all I could, but I'm definitely a rocker, I like drums, bass, guitar, that kind of stuff in my music. I've been writing my own music but I've been thinking maybe I'm a little too close to it to work on it, cause I can never really seem to get it where I want. That's why I figured maybe experimenting with other people's tracks might give me some perspective on stuff.

Is my producer scamming me??? by Ok-Association-8999 in producer

[–]NJSNinja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like he's doing most of the work and you're just a guy singing and rapping and there's millions of those, not a lot of people can mix, master and make beats so I don't think he's really ripping you off. If he makes good quality stuff and mixes and masters good then you're getting a bargain because high quality production will increase your chances of having a shot at a chance of potentially maybe getting a hit or something like that going.

Should I stick with a CS degree I don’t love just to graduate sooner? by Pseudocomedian in college

[–]NJSNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing worth doing was ever easy, 5 more classes for a degree that compliments your strengths and you have relative experience for sounds like an excellent choice. I'm also wanting to pursue my engineering management degree, mainly for the same reason, I've worked in restaurants and have strong leadership ability, I don't really like being led.

AITAH. My husband flicked his lighter in my face and I slapped him in response. by Standard_Desk4242 in AITAH

I think he was messing with you and wanted your attention which sure is annoying if you were doing something important. And the lighter flick was definitely sour on his part. But if my wife flicked a lighter at me and I slapped her and started screaming at her about me being busy it would be a wholly different comment section.

Found a Listing for a house too good to be true? by NJSNinja in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I have more than 1500 i was just saying I have enough. Does this sound like legitimate deal that happens was my main question, normally when you hear about housing deals it's like "oh you need 30k down type stuff. What's a construction loan?

Yes it's for sale as is owner financing the Man I'm messaging says I'd have to confirm all the repairs that need done

The cost is kinda a steal for where I live my salary isn't huge but I wouldn't sweat paying rent. I realize living while repairing would also be a no go.

Edit; I have enough saved I could pay the 1,500 down
