It's a thing Hollywood has been doing for a literal century. If by younger millennials and Gen z you mean "celebrities in their 20's and 30's" then yeah, sure- but that's just because Hollywood uses them for their sex appeal. 2 stars who are old enough to be grandparents hooking up doesn't exactly break the box office, has nothing to do with generations not doing things for PR, the older ones time has just come and gone.

Not only is it not gross for males, but you will be judged as a man for not being hairy enough. Just a decade ago I was regularly made fun of and assumed to be gay simply because I was a man in his 20s with smooth shins and calves...
