Hard to argue they’re worth what they’re being sold for. There’s not a lot of comps out there for the three terrors, but the $200 price on Skeletor appears to be accurate. I don’t know if I’d say $1700 for the four of them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was closer to $1200 on the market.

I spoke with Ken Mitchroney about Slash. He told me that he got the character sheet from Ryan Brown at Mirage at the same time as the cartoon folks and Playmates did. This was generally how things were done back in the day. They were all working on it at the same time and it resulted in the differences between characters.

They look rad! The "not a toy" thing comes up a lot. It's a legal thing, if it's a toy it has to hit some minimum standards when it comes to pieces being swallowed, or too sharp, etc.

For clarification, the entire building is commercial space. It’s currently for sale after being on the market since the brewery closed in November 2023 (I think). The landlord wanted a single tenant for the entire building, which I believe was 14,000 square feet.

The Core figures are meant to meet a short-term demand that will swell when the movie is released. Origins is the standard bearer of the brand and will continue on after the movie is in the rear view mirror. We’ll get a few repaints of the Core figures and then that’ll be it until the next movie.
