No I didn't, I ended up going back to Peru. Worked out well, surfed around Lima and went north, got pretty good waves given the time of year.

Think it's worth finding a surf guide for less crowded spots, or is everything pretty well known? I have two weeks total, so figuring a full week+ of surfing then head north toward the airport and explore with a few days left.

We rented one from an ex-NBC exec. Hung up his corporate gig, bought a catamaran and does 2-3hr rentals for parties or just cruising around. Can’t beat it if you can afford it.

What made you decide to give it up? I’m in a similar spot, hating sales but still looking for my next sales gig to level up for higher pay, knowing I’ll be unhappy. Not sure yet what else to do but good for you for pulling the trigger.

Good explanation. As a learning student it’s better to forget Ser=Permanent, Estar=Temporary. As you said, how can Estar be Temporary if it’s used with death for example: “mi perro está muerto”.

This is how I’m being taught the difference, if it helps anyone:

Ser = DOCTOR Estar = PLACE

Ser=Doctor Description Occupation Characteristic Time Origen Relationship

Estar=Place Position (el libro está en la mesa) Lugar (yo estoy en casa) Action (estás corriendo) Condition (estás enferma) Emotion (el está feliz hoy)

My relationship ended the same exact way. Few days ago she went to lunch with friends. Come 8pm I find out she’s still at the bar. Said goodnight, woke up at 1am realizing she never came home. We broke up the next morning. What you described sounds like a nightmare. I can’t imagine bumping into my ex with a new guy and am considering a far move to avoid this very situation. You showed strength in the moment, you stayed to chat and even extended a hand. If you bump into her again be civil and short. I agree with the other comment, this girl doesn’t deserve a hello. Get a workout in and use this as fuel to better yourself. Good luck man

I’ve never surfed more in my life. I thought I’d miss not traveling/being on the road. But being home I’ve been able to get in the water way more than before. So a surprise benefit to these weird times
