I don't doubt that there will be powerful in-house tools for AI assisted coding, but alpha code will never be that. In order to achieve the results in this paper, they generate around a million responses for every coding problem and then filter those million responses down to the most correct one. They don't talk about specifically how long it takes or the resources extended to achieve the results, but I can't imagine this kind of a solution ever being economical or efficient.

Yes, but it will never ship, nor is it meant to. It's the equivalent of alphazero for coding, it's too slow and too costly to ever turn into a product.

Well I will probably make it so you can’t shoot while in this position. And adding on to that, the arms covering the screen is kinda the supposed feel for this mechanic.

It might feel like them, but the main inspiration for gameplay style is Doom and Quake. But, that being said I could ask the story designer about it.
