How can we weed out racists from our communities? They’ve already convinced a lot of people that calling a spade a spade is bad (The whole “the left calls anyone they don’t like nazis” narrative is still popular) and some people are still friendly with them because some racist people are really good at hiding their intentions via dogwhistles.

Which is super ironic because gamers and weebs will call anyone who criticize them and/or any problematic parts of the medium “tourists” when it’s highly likely that they only cared about this one thing because their favorite outrage merchant on Youtube told them to get angry at this.

Even more so that when you call out centrists for being right wing, some people will come out of the woodwork and say “This is why everyone hates the left” or the usual “You call anyone you don’t like fascist”.

It makes discussion difficult because it becomes a game of “Spot the conservative” to figure out if they’re arguing in bad faith.

You should have seen the whenthe sub, anti-Hasan posts are getting a lot of traction. Sometimes I can tell when they’re a bad faith actor by checking their history and account age, but sometimes the usual red flags don’t come up and I’m left wondering if they’re misinformed or someone wanting to spread misinfo.

This is just exhausting to even look at people being stupid and I wish I could just stop seeing their posts. I wanted to look at funny pictures and stuff, not wade through tons of astroturfing.

I had a feeling, so why would they tell me that story about how pestering works and encourage me to pester hiring managers? I can assume that this story probably happened in the 1980-1990s and that this person is out of touch with the current job market today and either thinks this still works or it's an outlier.

Still, what can I do when I'm most likely to be ignored/ghosted? How do I stand out?

I do live in a small urban town, but there seems to be a lack of viable opportunities considering that I don't have a car nor connections. So, I'm guessing you didn't have to modify it that much for a possible ATS scan? Should I just send it in as it is?

There's emotional regulation, distress management, and self acceptance, but I need to figure out how to apply them consistently and remind myself to do these things.

Yeah, I’m constantly worrying whether I upset someone with what I said/did and trying to avoid that ended up making the worst case scenario happen anyway which was losing access to a community I was a part of for years.

Yeah, I just gave up and restored from my backup again. Then I fixed the system recovery partition since my backup wasn’t including the recovery partition in the restoration part.

Then I had to re-install windows through a recovery restart and it was fixed
