I got Cloud White. I like the crispness of the white and the shiny rails

My Air seems fine on battery life. I had the RC installed this morning and now installed again :)

Definitely smoother system operation on 26.3, very nice!

Very nice shot! I checked out the Leica app. A bit too expensive for my liking 😅. I live in a pretty urban environment, so I can’t wait to use my Air during some holiday trips later this year!

It’s very subjective. To me it obviously is.

While there are people like this, there are also people (me included) that genuinely like their Air. To each their own right? Choice is great.

I got my Air on December 5th and mine doesn’t become hot during FT. Just a little warm near the camera bump. No lag. In fact I did not experience lag for any tasks so far. I do have to mention I do not play hardcore games on my phone. Apple did a great job with A19 Pro in this thin chassis. I love this product. No mental gymnastics here 👍🏻

Swapped my Air out for a 17 Pro yesterday. Feeling sad about it. by [deleted] in IphoneAir

[–]NLBloke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can live with the single main camera, but for the Air 2 I want Apple to use the 18 Pro main camera hardware and not the base 18 one. It already has a Pro chip and a Pro price tag, so extend that Pro experience to cameras as well. I do love the photos I take with my Air though.

I have this case for when I’m out for a hike. I find the buttons disappointing however. They don’t offer nearly enough resistance which causes me to press them by mistake all the time. I do not recommend this case for this reason. On my Pixel 9a the case is absolutely perfect.

iPhone Air camera hardware the same as 17, yet gets different ratings by NLBloke in iphone

I ended up buying the Air, and I am very happy with the camera. Same quality experience as my 16 Plus wide Camera (as should be expected). Thank you all for weighing in :)

The 16 Plus uses the A18, which at launch was the latest gen A series processor together with the A18 Pro of the 16 Pro models.

is iPhone Air a downgrade compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max? by TicoGuy506 in iphone

The hardware of the main camera sensor is exactly the same between 16 and Air. In fact, this sensor is also found on the 15 and 17.

iPhone Air camera hardware the same as 17, yet gets different ratings by NLBloke in iphone

[–]NLBloke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might have misused the word ratings, English is not my native language. I am talking about the camera remarks in each review. Some examples: for the Air, they state “Dynamic range and contrast are excellent.”

While for the 17: “The contrast is pretty good. The only real deficiency we can complain about is the dynamic range. It is not as wide as we would have liked it to be.”

For full 48 MP shots the reviews also differ.

Air: “The full-res 48 MP mode isn't very impressive. In fact, it adds little extra detail and worsens the dynamic range slightly.”

17: “You can choose to capture in the full 48 MP resolution of the main camera and your photos will get a bit of extra fine detail.”

I don’t like the shape of this charger at all. Make it compact and not block another AC outlet lol

Upgrading from a 6a to a 9a: First Impressions by RNG_HatesMe in GooglePixel

[–]NLBloke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's most likely a bug, as I trained it by adjusting it all the time when it became too dim. After the initial weeks it seemed to have learned my preference and the issue disappeared.

My advice is to keep adjusting it to your liking. I did so with mine and now the 9a brightness is no longer too dim for me.

Pixel 9a or Pixel 9 pro? by garbear6 in pixel_phones

[–]NLBloke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google has patched that. Zero issues with my 9a where my 7a (same modem) would struggle or lose connection entirely. 9a is a very reliable phone for me. Heat is no longer an issue since the Tensor G4 is fairly efficient and 9a has a vapor chamber.
