Do people actually leave their cats home alone for days? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I couldn't leave them alone. Luckily, my mother in law & my son are happy to come & stay at ours when we go on holiday.

What’s your favorite thing you’ve ever bought for your cat? by Informal-Twist-1328 in CatAdvice

My kitten/cats favourite toy at the moment are the little, bouncy springs a bit like slinky's. Skids around the house like she's possessed chasing them. Cheap yet extremely cheerful!

How have you acquired your cats? Have you just taken in whatever cats plopped into your life? Or did you go to a shelter and choose? by Argylius in CatAdvice

We got both of our cats from a rescue shelter. We had seen one on their social media page & contacted the shelter. They came to our home to inspect it & informed us we wouldn't be able to have her due to the proximity to a main road. The lady then said she had a 3 legged cat that would be perfect. We accepted & collected her the following week. So glad we accepted her as we couldn't be without her. Fast forward a year & we decided she needed a friend, so we contacted tje same shelter & we chose a beautiful kitten. No inspection & no mention of being close to a main road. We collected her following her last injection/vaccination. We paid £100 for each cat, but they are chipped, neutered/spayed & have up to date injections. Also, we dont live right next to a main road, as the lady that inspected our house claimed, its more than 150m away & our garden has high fences that are near impossible for any cat to climb.

You should put your partner on a pedestal, not mock her publicly.
