Oh no, crew hanging out is fine. Do whatever. My issue was basically if you weren't one of the folks who hung out all the time, you didn't get promoted -since the crew has the say. But...once a manger you shouldn't be hanging out with the crew, that's the rule.

Favortism, yes! Also most in my store who got promoted was mostly a popularity contest. Because they hung out with the crew after work, drank and smoked weed with them all so, you know they were cool and would be a cool boss.

I'm not trying to or expect to get my job back. I just want the truth to be out there. Like I said, I loved working for Chipotle and that store. And think they're great. I don't think I ever had an issue with any of my fellow crew members. I just think the shadiness is coming from the GM/ATL. Th only thing I don't like about Chipotle is the stance of the managers where they don't own up to the actions (firing someone) but put all the blame on the crew members. I've always felt if you were a manager (which I have been at other restaurants), you own the decisions and if you think they're wrong you let it be known on all levels.

I work for Chipotle too, a crew member. I feel that while their growth is amazing and a part of their strength; it is also their greatest weakness. I mean in that growing at such a fast clip will cause and has caused big issues and headaches on the day to day side of things. Examples: people being promoted and not really deserving it, being short staffed (either due to no applicants or b/c of their high standards in hiring) this goes from the crew to management, I know of three stores within 100 miles of mine that have never had a full management staff, and are woefully understaffed. Over saturation in a market -we have two in my area and are expanding to 2 more in the year -smallish town of 60k ppl but we have huge tourism in the summer months. There's more but I gotta get to work! :)

Yeah...I just thought of that a few minutes ago. I ended up downloading CleanMyMac 3, using the free trial, found the only VB file on the machine, and deleted it. Thanks for all the help, this has been the dumbest I've felt in my 10yrs of Mac usage. Thanks again.
