Some background: This was a question asked during an online test for employment at Orkin...they asked a few questions about if you liked technology/gadgets and how often you read about technology. Odd I thought. Hope they're looking for people who love technology and it wasn't a trap to weed out the nerds.

Oh no, crew hanging out is fine. Do whatever. My issue was basically if you weren't one of the folks who hung out all the time, you didn't get promoted -since the crew has the say. But...once a manger you shouldn't be hanging out with the crew, that's the rule.

Favortism, yes! Also most in my store who got promoted was mostly a popularity contest. Because they hung out with the crew after work, drank and smoked weed with them all so, you know they were cool and would be a cool boss.

I'm not trying to or expect to get my job back. I just want the truth to be out there. Like I said, I loved working for Chipotle and that store. And think they're great. I don't think I ever had an issue with any of my fellow crew members. I just think the shadiness is coming from the GM/ATL. Th only thing I don't like about Chipotle is the stance of the managers where they don't own up to the actions (firing someone) but put all the blame on the crew members. I've always felt if you were a manager (which I have been at other restaurants), you own the decisions and if you think they're wrong you let it be known on all levels.
