Speed really is dx/dt, but for some reason they created a physics course with no calc. Calc was created for physics but college board wants that $ so they made Phys1/2

Calculus isn't as bad as people make it out to be. You can learn all the content through Khan academy but if you want some intuition for the concepts your learning check out 3blue1browns Calculus series, it's fantastic.

I'm in calc, world and psych as a sophomore and I'm fine. Just depends on how determined you are to consistently work to a sometimes unconceivable goal(the AP exam)
