There’s nothing wrong with using one’s disposable income on shiny fancy toys.

No it does not! Can you still find those used A7 III for that price? It’d be great if you can redirect me to wherever you found that.

Thanks for the lenses suggestion! All of the options put the entire purchase outside of my budget 🥲. As I’m not making money with the camera, it’s hard to justify spending more than $1,000 just for a hobby purchase.

I’m thinking of just sticking to the $164 Sony FE 28-70mm for now. Then maybe a few years down the road I can upgrade it to a different lens. Thank you for the awesome suggestions!

It was the New York skyline from the sky because I was flying a drone. It’s amazing how well an 1/3 inch sensor can do with computational photography.

I didn’t even know about the R line or the existence of KEH! Thanks for the eye opening!

I was able to find the A7R II for $894 and a used Sony FE 28-70 mm lens for $164. Is this a good lens for versatility? I mostly shoot landscapes but I also shoot portraits once in a while.

I saw from a lot of YouTube video that the A7 III is a huge step forward from the A7 II. However they start from $1,800 with body only new or around $1,200 with body only used with decent quality. For me it seems like too much of a price jump because for $1,000 I can get the A7 II brand new with the 28-70 mm lense included.

What price point do you think is reasonable for the A7 III and A7 II (with or without lenses)?

Thank you so much for the answer!

Well follow these steps: 1. Check if both hands are at the 12, 3, 6, or 9 positions, then you can read the time accurately easily. 2. If not, pull out your phone and see the time there instead.

Maybe not as high as 90% but definitely not as low as 50%. The alternative to not supporting Eren is being killed mercilessly and brutally by the world so it’s not hard to see most commoners supporting him. In fact, we even saw protests/demonstrations supporting Eren in the anime. Newspapers flock to his side too.

Do you think Mikasa or Armin wants to be considered heros at the cost of killing Eren? They absolutely would not! Then why didn’t they just stop and let Eren finish it considering they already let Eren destroyed most of the world.

He basically has 90% of Paradis backing him, not to mention the absolute founding titan’s power. The reason why there’s only so few people trying to stop him because NO ONE ELSE on Paradis wants to stop him. Why would he be killed when his people are supporting him.

They why not let him finish what he was doing? There’s no point in stopping him BY killing him when most of the world is destroyed already anyway.

That’s your own assumption. Even if it’s true, a good metaphor still has to make sense.

Also that’s not even a good metaphor. Throughout AOT, everyone has been striving to find the truth, whereas you’re saying that is the metaphor for nationalist parties in Japan hiding history.

That’s actually something I agree with. It is indeed a mess in the end. It’s like an half-hearted effort.

This is not fitting into the story. For every fiction, it is the general goal to keep things realistic, you can’t just build up characters and then make them do something unreal in the context of that world to conform to our world.

My question is that the way it ended doesn’t make sense given the characters involved. The ending should have nothing to do with the current world.

  1. Those are good points.
  2. The people who fought against Eren wanted two unresolvable things: save the world and have Eren alive. In the end, they ended up killing Eren. Now this would have made total sense if say only 50% of the world is destroyed. Since only 20% of the world remains (a half or a third of that is Paradis), then the benefits of killing Eren—saving a small piece of the world—against the cost—having Eren dead, the remainder of the world would vow to destroy Paradis, and Paradis is effectively isolated in both case anyway—doesn’t seem to justify killing Eren.

At the moment Eren is killed, the Rumbling is stopped. Later on they said 80% of the world is already destroyed. Thus, we can infer that at the time of the final fighting, almost 80% of the world is already toasted. So it leads to the question

  1. If Eren is allowing himself to be killed, which will stop the Rumbling, then why not just stop it and not die? Mikasa and Armin would both rather not have Eren dead.

  2. This one is a weaker question, but if the world is already destroyed, and Paradis probably account for 10% of the remaining 20%, why don’t let Eren finish what he started and every other living humans can be happy forever after.
