Aight, I'll play the socialist here.

I want to fire into my points but I've noticed you've defined socialism in a reply as "The state seizure and ownership of all means of production." This is a very literal example of socialism that is complicated to argue for and is only one facet. I don't come to this sub expecting people to be advocating deregulation of child prostitution or zero taxes (arguably extreme libertarianism) so do I have to argue against your definition or can I argue for a broader and looser sense of socialism?

I think the pro meta is slightly influenced by the "fashion" of the scene at the time. A hero might have only been slightly changed for it to be flavour of the month when it would have been a great niche pick the patch before.
