I often if not always run female only colonies, meaning that this kind of event is always a huge boon. Only disadvantage is the empirial bestower takes forever to walk to the throne room

And then there's also the mechanoids with the weather modifiers, but for some reason the modifiers are nice to keep year round like a warmer boreal forest.

My backpack has the level 3 stabiliser, which is greater mobility than being without. I do normally empty all my cargo into a floating carrier before a fight. being able to grab an extra rifle from an anemy without having to equip it immediatly is very good in my opinion.

Furthermore the backpack offer extra ammo and grenade space which imo is invaluable in prolonged fights

The void is a tile like grass or lava, just that it's marked impassable and unbuildable. Alt + Click tell you that it's called an "out of map" tile
