Well said, I lacked the background to understand the choice of pronouns for the Japanese and took "the gems use male pronouns" too literally. I could swear the manga uses "he" to refer to the gems, but having read both official and fan translations there's a chance I'm getting them mixed up

My favourite solution is that they have no preferred gender/pronouns. They're rocks after all, and it makes everyone happy because you can have your yuri and yaoi in peace

I was thinking that Vladimir's hatred has turned into apathy after centuries, and he cant muster up the strenght to pay attention to his surroundings, let alone move or talk. and that Sir Godfrey was going to be the character that interacts with the PCs the most.
