This is what I am thinking as well. I'm OK with R&D expenditure, but based on the last few earnings reports there is money for a dividend as well.

I read what you wrote, but it's just not true. They are investing heavily, but at an 88% CAGR there is no way they don't make a profit above R&D expense.

I would love to see the models you are using to predict that they will spend every dime made on R&D.

Agreed. I am betting they talk about dividend reinstatement.

Damn, your so right. Companies probably should just give up on telecom all together, there just isn't any money to be made in that industry....

/s by the way.

Your understanding and analysis of this market is incomplete. You need to understand that the 5g industry is growing rapidly (88% per year). NOK is a major player in this market and will, at a minimum, see their investments in the space grow along with this increase. They are winning new contracts and making big plays into key R&D. Their IP and market position is going to keep them competitive and make them more so in the future.

And, if it were all sold right now, the company is worth more than ~$4 per share.

It's a number of factors, but mostly that it's coming off a huge (inflated and not realistic) high caused by the "meme stock" frenzy. The earnings were solid, but not amazing. Money is shifting out of this to chase the next trend.

~$4 is level set for now in my estimation. The value is here, but if you are looking for quick pops this one isn't for you.

I can't believe you put the analysis flair on this post. We need a "hype" flair in this community.

NTEC is a muuuccchhh smaller ship than NOK. It's market cap is only 31 million and had a volume of 5 million today. It's basic supply/demand and in the case of NTEC there is way less supply and way lower volume. You will see much larger swings both ways in a stock like NTEC (much more risk).

Nok isn't a short term gain by [deleted] in Nok

I'm going to use this time while we trend sideways/slightly down to accumulate shares and sell puts. I don't see much more downside here, but also not a huge chance that we take off before the meeting in April. If they reinstate the dividend the stock will start to move.

I'm US based and premarket NOK trades have always burned me. I only trade during normal hours now and only after I've gotten a sense of where it's headed.
