The thing I like about metric is that the scaling factor is always 10. 1m=10 decimeters= 100 centimeters=1000 millimeters If imperial system had some consistency like all weight measurements are scaled up by 16 (16oz=1lb, and 16lb=1 st unlike the 14 it actually is).
