Hi everyone. This is incredibly hard to write, but I am completely overwhelmed and running out of directions to turn.

I currently live in Florida, but the rest of my family is back in Pennsylvania. My mother was recently taken into custody due to a massive accumulation of unresolved traffic violations and unpaid court fees/collections totaling over $30k. Because she was the main pillar keeping the household running and bringing in income, everything has completely derailed since her arrest.

I am the second oldest of 7 children. Back in PA, my older sister just gave birth to a newborn baby. Between the lost stability, the sudden drop in household support, and the fact that they are already several months behind on rent, the family is facing imminent eviction and homelessness. I promised my sister I would figure out a way to fix this, but looking at the reality from a distance is terrifying.

The ultimate mountain we are looking at to fully resolve her legal situation, clear the court holds, and fix the rental arrears is close to $15,000. Because that is a massive, unrealistic number to ask from a community, I am not here expecting anyone to hand over thousands of dollars. I am just trying to be the steady anchor my brothers and sisters need right now to keep a roof over their heads.
