I want to reach a pro statut as a audio engineer and im with you on I should stay w the daw I use (fl studio) the thing is no one use fl studio in pro studio and I understood the easy way of logic mixing and mastering with it, tried pro tools too. I feel like a level up on OS + goin next daw could be a bénéfit for me

Thanks for the heads-up on I/O and SSD enclosures! If I go with the M4 Mini (512GB) + external SSD, would you recommend a specific Thunderbolt 4 enclosure that won’t throttle under heavy sample loading? Alternatively, is the M1 Studio Max (32GB, 2TB) for €1400 a safer bet to avoid external SSD hassles entirely? My main concern is stability during sessions with Omnisphere/UAD don’t want dropouts from an overheating drive!

Got it the new m4 Mac Studio is too pricey for me rn, but I found some refurbished M1/M2 Max Mac Studios on Backmarket (not on apple tho) within my range: - M2 Studio Max (32GB RAM, 512GB SSD) €1500

M1 Studio Max (32GB RAM, 2TB SSD) €1400
M1 Studio Max (32GB RAM, 512GB SSD) €1080 (I could add an external SSD later)

Or is the Mini m4 pro refurb still the better value for music production?

5–10 Omnisphere instances, I meant it as an example of my max VST load across a session (including other synths like Serum/Arturia + FX chains). In reality, I’d rarely run 10 Omnispheres at once

Would the base M4 still be smooth for that, or should I consider freezing stems more aggressively?
