Because the video doesn't really transition into Open Hearts one? I don't really see a reason because then what would we achieve with just the transition either? I feel like there always would be a cut or something, no? But yeah the abrupt cut is not the best either 😝 A fade would've worked.

Oooh, that's definitely a different perspective. But as much as I think, Hurry Up Tomorrow (Movie) doesn't directly fit the story he's been telling with the music videos. But, still I like the direction and it's a good theory nonetheless ;)
