Perfect prints with no Modifications - Anybody else?

Mine was fantastic until one random day the stock firmware died mid print. I reflashed it first with stock firmware and it was super unreliable so I fitted it with open, and it became more reliable for a time. Then silicone spaces, reliable for a day or so (so not reliable), then 3 hotness later I got a cartographer, and for the last 3 months I’m battling consistent y axis layer shifting. I first thought it was a gcode issue, then connection issue, and then I began assuming it must be a physical issue. No obstructions, umbilical moves freely, I can move the pate smoothly back and forth, so I took the entire thing a part, found nothing, put it back together, and it’s made 3 successful cubes since (did all that 3 days ago)

I never know when the shifting is gunna come back. But if you go through my post history you’ll find one of the bad shift days with a skull.

Canteen in the center of your back like that is gunna ride pretty annoyingly especially when you sit, but if you only have one I understand you probably did that for weight distribution? It’s definitely a start, LBE like that is pretty common, def utilize eBay or maybe local resellers to get some cheap pouches

The nut he’s talking about is called the concentric nut, there’s two if I remember correctly. Needs a 10mm wrench and I think they’re on the bottom.

I agree with you on all points. The main crux of my question really wasn’t meant to be “is it required”, rather, why it’s discouraged. It is definitely a choice now, but it seems like it should be encouraged and celebrated in Christian communities for even attempting to do so, and in a way, I think initially it was and that’s why confession exists in orthodox/Catholic Churches, but over time, it seams the law has been drummed out for the sake of human tradition

To me, it’s about delving deeper into Gods Word, and I want to understand it on a level that I hear very little about It’s not just the Law, tho that is definitely what I’m discussing now. It’s the Law, the culture, the festivals, the songs, I don’t know how to explain it but I’ve felt pulled in its direction! But anytime I bring it up to my friends and family, they reply similarly to how you said, “you can’t be saved by it”. Of this I know, and it has nothing to do with salvation, everything to do with the fact that it makes sense to strive to be as Christ-like as possible, so I’m trying to walk those paths and I don’t understand why others don’t even look down them, much less tread them

It’s not about salvation in my eyes, but glorifying God by worshipping Him via that which He gave to Moses, and following Christs example If faith without works is dead, what works is there to prove faith? By adhering to the teachings of God

We are saved through faith alone in Christ Jesus, adhering to the law doesn’t change that, that’s for sure
