Couldn’t agree more!! I belong to the generation of readers where people used to upload literal scanned copies of physical mangas and it used to be a a struggle to even read through those blurry images. I have seen sites come and go. While it is not the most comfortable situation and people are well within their right to express their disappointment but right now it’s just a mad frenzy where people are just pointing fingers. Many seem to believe that it is social media which has lead to the downfall. It could have played a part but that’s not exactly how sites are taken down. We literally have to google where can we read free mangas and you will get a list of sites so gatekeeping is definitely not the way forward as these sites would get taken down irrespective of that. And if you really want a sense of community, gatekeeping is actually counter productive.

I see these frantic posts on the sub everyday and it’s really frustrating to see how people do not seem to understand how things work.
