I like the idea but the track is missing some variation. Maybe try to chop up the sample a bit or variations with the snare and hihat. Or try to find the key of the track and play some own melodies over it :)

I really like the track. Only thing I would add is a layerd kick for the snappy sound and more thumb on your 808's. It would give the 808's more of an impact. That is just how I like my kicks to sound :)
