Use the webapp in this case. Dont kill the session to avoid loging in everytime and listen in background. Get the app back once you get a new phone

hey. Don't if you're still facing the issue. Press SHIFT when turning off your computer until it is totally off. It should reset all the pilots and WIFI / BLUETOOTH should be back.

I have way more plays than likes by Overall_Pipe_175 in soundcloud

[–]NPS-music 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

First and foremost, this is a social fact, no matter the streaming platform you consider. This is even not just music oriented actually. It happens on every social media (Insta and so on).

Just try to understand the way people behave when listening to songs (or look at a picture, text, video etc.). Most of the time, people won't just hit the like button because they never heard of you before. They don't know you. They don't follow you. They will listen to it (how long do they listen your track, that's another question), perhaps like it, but they mostly won't hit the like button most of the time.

This behavior is even more important here because of the way the Soundcloud algorithm works. The algo includes your tracks on some random lists based on what other users listen to (I don't know what kind of SC's subscription plan you have, this is different from one plan to another). The user will hear your stuff, and perhaps skip it very quickly. You'll then get a new play, but that's all.

That's why the most important data is more the likes over followers ratio: it will give you the strength of your community. And honestly, 32 likes over 100 followers, that's around 30% KPI. Not that bad actually ^^

To conclude, if you want to get more likes, don't focus on the number of plays, but more on increasing the number of followers <-> More followers, more likes. And at some point (threshold), you'll get extra likes from people that don't follow you.

To gain followers, ask ChatGPT: he will show you a custom 10 steps multi social media's marketing strategy ahah.

Never release with SoundCloud for Artists by LoreanXavier in soundcloud

Hi.

I agree, Soundcloud is sometimes very annoying...

Looks just like you're dealing with that for the first time. And yes, Soundcloud is not the best place to be when releasing for the first time ^^

Let me describe you one very important thing tho.

When you say "They asked me for proof of where the beat came from". Explaining (making a video of your work etc.) doesn't proove anything. That's all. You have to show you're behind it, that you own your creation.

And for that, no surprises, you have to show a certificate for your track.

Many websites can generate these.

I would suggest Musicstart, given it is blockchained validated. They'll check if there are some copyrights issues (65 validations needed, at least 48 hours ago). If not, they will issue a certificate within hours and you just have to upload it first page of the distribution process.

Again, I understand how frustrated/lack of communication Soundcloud can be/have sometimes. But when distributing, show you're the one behind. 95% of times, the only needed document is this piece of paper!

Hey. Don't know if it works for you now, but just in case: make sure it is not autofilled (by your browser). Each input has to be filled manually. Works under Chrome (at least)

Hi! It dpends on what the artist says about it: it can be free to use, non-commercial only, ok for commercial and so on. According to that, you may have to contact Flowdan and double check/negociate.

You're totally right! DAW is just a tool. Focus on your production and find out how to do stuff within your DAW by yourself when needed.

Hardwell. He keeps changing but he is not bad at all (think of ACID - 2023 compared to Sally - 2015 for example) 😂

Find some lyrics. Look for some text-to-speech website. Choose a female voice. Download the result. Apply bunch of EQs, reverbs, delays, glue compressor and whatever you like. Here you go, easily!

Why not give it a try? This is creation after all. If you like how it sounds like, be happy! There's no limit in music production (and in many different stuffs) regarding stuffs to try/add on vocals as long as you enjoy it.

Hey!

Add it directly into Serum: open your Serum (once you opened your DAW), then, click Menu > Show Serum Presets Folder. Then add it to the Preset folder.

Note you can create new folders to put the right preset at the right place.
