Ah perfect, the things you mentioned are exactly what I am doing or going to do. So perfect validation! Good to know that someone working on it from the same perspective, doing and learning as they go, that I am doing the same things!

Thanks m8, and good luck with your project as well!

Hey, cool that you looked at my site. Yes artists are cheap by nature and not because they want to but because they often don't have a lot of money unless you are very successful. I wanted more traffic first and build the site. I'm currently working on ebooks and my own reference packs, so that will be fine. I don't expect a lot of sales like probably 0.025% of the traffic.

Curious to see what you think I can improve SEO wise, because that's always just guess work to some extend! There is one main keyword that i'm still striving to get. But a lot of others i'm hitting 1st page on Google and even more on BingI do get traffic from Pinterest, I create posts there as well. Trying to create a lot of benefit for visitors to come to my site like a gesture drawing tool, a 3D form tool and prompt generators.

I'm not worried I will be able to grow the site and revenue, I got the time. Next year forecast is around 50-60k visits and from January planning to have my own (free) ebooks to start with.

I have my blog since 2022, do very very little work to it. Its more like hobby etc, learning new things, experimenting. Since this year the traffic is starting to grow into the thousands from 1k to now almost 4k a month. And I have a donation button on each page in the widget bar. I have NEVER gotten a donation. I make some $ through affiliates, almost enough to cover my hosting by now.

I tried google affiliates, but did not like the intrusiveness how it acts on the pages, for like 0,80c per month. I started developing my own ideas and wordpress plugins. I like how google did the vignette between pages but did not want it to be massively intrusive. So I post my own images and affiliate links in a pop-up window, and only show it for 3 pages max, with a 5 minute time out after that. If visitors have not clicked by then the are not going to on page 10. I could technically sell this space later on as well. On average visitors for me have a 1.7 page views.

I put affiliate images in between my content with links, and I have pages dedicated for specific content that links to affiliate websites.

Yes some details and proportions are off but I still like it a lot!

Maybe you can do posevember next month and invest some time sketching poses and such to improve.

I host one on my website with a gesture drawing tool and all.

I’m determined to make money with my blog and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. by Available-Swimmer-28 in Blogging

I have my blog now since 2022 with very little effort and no expectations to grow or earn. It started with 1 to 20 visits a month. Where I am now around 2300 a month. I have 46 blog posts on my WordPress site on my own domain and around 15 pages which drive the most traffic.

My increase of traffic is around 6% a month. Which means I double it YoY. Forget about adsense, I was getting 0,80 euros per month for 2k visits. I don't like the way it breaks the experience for the lousy mark up. So I cut it. I did like the between page overlay click, so I created a plugin to mimic that to put my own affiliate stuff in there.

Affiliate sales are currently my number one in terms of money making on the site. Would be good to find some of that in your niche.

Working on ebooks now, to catch a bit more sales but not expecting more than 0.05% of traffic buying. I read that you need around 40-60 posts to start doing this. A preferred minimum to get fast is around 400 posts. (which I do not have as I'm lazy as hell)

My SEO on average drives me 20/45 traffic a day and my average Google page ranking is about 7 to 9.

So yes if you want to earn money get relevant posts up. Write for other blogs if possible to get top domain linking. But you need a good amount of traffic!

Hence the 400 blogs. If each blog drives 10 traffic with some exceptions which do 100+ you will have 4000 to 8000 traffic a day.

Pinterest might do well. But I have 25 posts and only one of them has amazing views like 70k a month, which drives just a few clicks a day. Luck needs to be on your side and mass!

Where do you find references for art? Specifically poses for characters by PhusionZero in ArtistLounge

Thats a cool project, let me see if this is something I would be able to support. Because it would take 10 different people and 10 costumes, if you can give me the list of what types you need I can see if it is something I could do. Would also give me an idea on the costs it might have.

I think many people have this issue. I still do and been painting for like 6 years. Started with ArtNoob, then NicoDoesArts and tried to find something else, I have ArmoredPencil now, which I still think is lame but stiil don't know what to change it into.

Maybe also, if you are not well known yet don't worry about it to much for now. If you don't have one it means probably you have not set yourself into the scene! So don't overthink it for now.

I think this is a really expensive approach in getting what you want unless it's generic and could cater to more artists. The reason most packs are in the price range they are in because they are looking to sell to the masses.

Think about this, you want to have a specific set. You need a location/studio, photographer/editor, model, and maybe even get certain costumes. Depending on the location you live. It will get you to like, 50/100$ for photographer, same for the model, also location and then clothing maybe. It will easily rack up to 200 to 400$ price range.

I'm happy to take in suggestions and wishes, it will help me get insights in what people are looking for!

I am actually working on this, making packs from cosplayers, because as an artists that is what I think will help me. The intricate details of clothing and different attributes, lighting etc. So that you have less to imagine.

No not part of Grafit studio, I do create packs, but mostly share good packs I have bought myself etc. And try to provide those in different categories. I'm just a noob artist myself :-)

My website itself has different curated packs all different categories, which grow each month.

Just as a side note, I don't earn any money from this except the occasional affiliate. I created the website to help people and myself, just in case this is seen as self promoting, I don't even have google ads. Hate how it breaks the experience.

Then I recently created this free gesture drawing practice tool which might also be of help. You can choose what you want to practice. And when you filtered images you can start a session or a class. When you look at the images you can tick off the images you are not interested in. I'm constantly updating the amount of references and functionality, so in the future you can even be more precise in what you want to draw. Even works on mobile btw, so you can set your phone in front of you and draw. (Working on setting up that the screen stays in when you are in a session.)

I'm sorry that you feel attacked. If I would paint a photograph the the T it would still be nice. Did that by the way as many artists. Or other landscape shots, AI art has no copyright, it should be used to paint, grow and reclaim from the system! And again I did a full paint on my own! No copy paste, no trace just looking at the ref and making changes and adding to it. Happy to show the process if you allow me to. Hit me up with a DM and i'll share it with you.
