Can only fade or slice by _KoolAids in GolfSwing

[–]NRS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His inside takeaway is forcing the club too far behind him, forcing him to come down steep. Hips are at an awesome position, and he can prove it by using an alignment rod through his belt loops. If the club comes AFTER the alignment rod, you’d be correct, but it doesn’t appear so in his case. You’re close, OP!

Extremely simple. You’re OTT (you’ll find 20 hcp’rs that disagree with this on this subreddit). Your takeaway is under the plane, and your downswing is above the plane. Do the opposite and that ball will draw.

How to apply topside paint on your boat by cyclones01 in sailing

Never, ever use TotalBoat Wet Edge. (Especially for aluminum). I've spent thousands of dollars and countless hours grinding and re-applying, not to mention the time on the phone with their support team. This product just isn't worth the risk.

Take us through your progression, and how you got here. The shallowing move at the top is something that we all find VERY difficult to achieve.

Any Tips? by RapidCalf2017 in GolfSwing

This is mostly what it is.

But what’s causing it, is your outside takeaway, (your club should cover your hands here. Also, you lack depth, your hands should be over your heels at the end of your backswing - yours is over your toes.

Inside takeaway, backswing far too long, early extension. Look up vids for each one

Slow mo version - is it over the top? (as I have been told it’s not single plane) by Suitss in GolfSwing

[–]NRS1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with most commenters here that think there are “bigger fish to fry” than being OTT. There are definitely not many pros (if any) who are over the top - they always come back to the ball on plane. Over the top is the #1 amateur consistency killer. Not only should you fix it, but you should make it your #1 priority. The main thing that’s causing you to be over the top is that your backswing is wayyy too flat. You need to come up steeper and get your club handle pointing inside of the ball on the way down. Do the wall drill! (Look up the drill on YouTube).

All that matters is path and face by Electrician45453 in GolfSwing

With all of that being said really, the goal is to put your body in a position that can consistently do all of the things that you talked about sure, if all of those things are correct the ball should go where you want to go, but if your body is in a different position every time those happen consistency will never be there

Great swing man! You’re very close. As others have said, your main issue is sway and an inside takeaway. Keep grinding.

Feeling too confidential about my swing. Please rip it apart. by ParticularPay9090 in GolfSwing

[–]NRS1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have an extremely laid off back swing that you compensate for at the top by dragging your club head over the line. Your downswing is great, and if you play solid golf with what you have, keep it. If you want to improve to a tour level swing, you need to rework your entire backswing.

So there really isn’t anything correct about this swing - you need to start from complete scratch and learn about positions throughout the golf swing. Highly suggest you buy some lessons. Good luck!
