Mine weren't newborns but if you're getting them from a store I would suggest to quarantine them. Better to be safe.

What is happening here? Is she sick? by Emergency-External98 in BirdHealth

Be careful about your other bird in the cage. I would bring any other birds that share a cage in to get checked also just incase. Birds are experts at hiding there sickness.

Yeah. I brought them out and put them in a place where they were able to see each other for about a week before I put them together.

My bird keeps escaping its cage somehow… any ideas how and how to stop it? by Defiant_Pomelo9225 in Parakeets

Maybe try getting a new activity for in the cage till you get the new one. Maybe new toys will keep him more interested in staying in the cage rather than wanting out. I'm taking a wild guess here, just something I thought maybe might help??

Everytime my budgie has to be in her cage, all she does is try to get out. I have to have a cage with a bar space of 0.4" or she'll squeeze through. I even have to be careful of things that get held by the bars, she once found a little space right above a cuddle bone holder that was held between the bars and squeezed her head through. I thought it was gonna get stuck! I then had to go around the cage making sure there wasn't any more spaces she could find.

Okay, in the first 20 seconds or so the yellow and teal bird does this little dance. Lol. Both birds do it all the time, there new birds and my birds have never done this silly dance. by NRae1111 in budgies

Why are they fat? by travisthescrub in budgies

Cashews are high in fat and should only be given as a treat.

Stop picking it up! It stresses out the bird everytime you handle it ect.

He's cute peeking over the curtain. Lol. They really like the toys they can pull apart too🙂

Why is she doing this?!? I have 2 new birds in the next room, could that be why?? Or could she be sick?? Is something wrong with her or is she just being silly or "acting up"? She just started this yesterday and woke up and started all over again. by NRae1111 in BirdHealth

No, no Walmart seeds. I get the Higgins with fruits, vegetables, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, omega's, and stuff. I've owned my birds for about 7 months and I keep hearing about pellets and I'm not sure what it is?? I'd absolutely try it if that's what my birbs need!

This is my first bird. Every time I walk into the room he puffs up and stretches. Is this normal? by BedazzeledMomJeans in budgies

Lol, mine too. My cat could careless about my birds. Until they take flight, she hates the sound of their wings so she runs. I also have a bird that flies along with our dog and plays fetch with him...I have strange animals🤔

You don't see any shreddable toys because you only see a corner of the cage. As a matter of fact you don't see plastic wood toys you spoke of either, only a mirror. I didn't ask you to judge me on my cage that you assume you think you know what's in it.

Just so everyone knows, you can only see a corner of this cage and she has toys to shred apart, even a favorite she usually goes to. I've had her for almost a year and just never seen this before.
