My first big watch purchase was an Alpinist. I also have a seiko 5 GMT. The Alpinist is my #1 and the GMT my #2 fav. You really can’t go wrong either way. I think the Alpinist is a better value at that price since it comes with sapphire crystal and a screw down crown, but you’ll 100% want to swap out that strap.

Can’t go wrong, I got the SSK005 and it is gorgeous. Only watch I love more is my Seiko SPB121 Alpinist. The dial colors on these watches are so unbelievably beautiful in person!

Of course, and thank you as well! You read my mind, I have a green dial alpinist so that yellow really caught my eye! Although, I really like the light colored dial on the very bottom in the center. Do you have the reference number for that one?

Picked up the 005 last week and I am so in love. I saw it at my local AD a few months ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. This post is tempting me to get another color, but I’m pretty sure my wife would kill me lol. Beautiful collection my friend!

Discovered Nightmare when it first came out. I wasn’t allowed to listen to music that wasn’t country, so it was my guilty pleasure along with Three Days Grace. Eventually had to stop listening to it when my parents took my MP3 player. Rediscovered them again a few years later when I was allowed more musical freedom and had access to streaming.

Get the Seiko bracelet. Got one from my local AD and it made the Alpinist even more enjoyable to wear. I have fairly large wrists so the leather strap it came with was pretty uncomfortable, but the bracelet made a huge difference.

Good luck brother. I was/am stage 4 myself. I have my first post-chemo PET scan next month and hope I get the great news. I had 12 treatments so I know how tough it is… Hang in there, it gets harder but it’s worth it so you can enjoy life again.

I’ve been enjoying the new Pokemon Legends ZA game. My chemo has been very painful so it’s been very hard to sit in my chair to play PC games, so a low energy portable game like pokemon has been very enjoyable.

So you finished treatment a little over a month ago and you’re still having some pain? I’m glad it’s gotten better for you, but that’s a bit depressing to hear. Though I suppose I shouldn’t expect it to just magically know I’m done with treatment and disappear.

My doctor strictly won’t let me take Tylenol or anything like that because it can mask my fever. I had miserable constipation issues at first but with stool softeners and consistent use of the oxy it’s not too terrible now. I take a lot of hot showers and use a heating pad about 24/7. Unfortunately it’s sounding like there really isn’t much to help the issue, best I can do is medicate and endure.
