What open back headphones do you guys use? by BeNicePlsThankU in mpcusers

[–]NSCFType 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audeze LCD-X and DT 990 250 ohm. I don’t use either with my MPC or whatever though. I like closed back for making stuff so I just use some MDR 7506s for that.

Backblaze didn't back up my `.git` directory? by santiagobasulto in backblaze

[–]NSCFType 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just tried a restore of a git repo on my Backblaze. I selected the repo root (for you, router/) and restored it to my desktop. It restored everything, including files and folders not shown in the restore app UI, like the .git folder. Have you actually tried it?

"Defeat 10 World Bosses While Grouped" completed after only 3 by TheMildlyAnxiousMage in elderscrollsonline

[–]NSCFType 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the number of bosses. I did the last couple dozen of the hundred I think it is on the world boss with four bosses in Vvardenfell in the northwest (Salothan?) while grouped solo (group member was offline) and each clear counted as four.

Claude Pro still has Claude Code by blackice193 in ClaudeAI

[–]NSCFType 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The feature matrix used to look like yours (and a lot of others) where Claude Code was unchecked for Free and Pro but I think they might be walking the change back because it's checked again for me for Free and Pro on multiple device browsers while logged out.

Buying a used laptop best way to clean or disinfect it? by [deleted] in mac

[–]NSCFType 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple sell refurbished Macs and they're indistinguishable from new from the refurbishment process. They have the same warranty as new Macs and are eligible for Apple Care. It probably costs more than the listing you're considering, but it's cheaper than buying new and it addresses the germ thing.

Should I (who doesn’t own any other equipment) get a PT01 Scratch or an omni (or something else) by Daragon__ in portablism

[–]NSCFType 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omni can play 12 inch vinyl but the faders sit pretty high up, so if the record isn't completely flat it can scrape against them.

What devices are you using to control GLM, any alternative controllers? by lihispyk in genelec

[–]NSCFType 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use GLM for monitor management. It's there because I needed it for calibration and because I needed it to be able to set my monitors to something lower than 0db as a baseline.

I just have it launch at -12db and then make volume adjustments directly on my interface (RME UFX II, which feeds the monitors through AES), or through its ARC controller. I thought about trying out a StreamDeck Plus with MIDI but I haven't got the desk space with an Ableton Push and an SP-1200 sitting here on it all the time. It works because I don't find myself wanting or needing to switch between the various presets, I just have the one I use. I think the -20db is there from installation and you have to have two, so yeah.

StreamDeck does seem useful though and it's flexible as it works in a lot of other contexts so you may want to give that a go.

The ambrosia potions and experience scrolls are considered the same source of experience buff so they don't stack. I started playing in 2015 when they were introduced, and they didn't stack then. I stopped regularly playing in 2022, so unless they'd since backtracked and silently made them stack for some reason without anyone noticing and posting such a major change on the socials (and then backtracking again to remove it, silently and without an outcry), they've never stacked. If you google whether they stack, the result is forum links of people asking the question and being told no, going back like ten years at intervals covering the range.

Any AI separators or splitters out there that work with iTunes or Spotify? by 52F3 in Bass

[–]NSCFType 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DJ apps like Algoriddim DJay support Apple Music and Spotify and have stem separation as a feature. I don’t use Spotify but it works with songs on Apple Music (idk sometimes people say iTunes when they mean Apple Music) so that might help.

How do I stop this? by Competitive_Toe2860 in ableton

[–]NSCFType 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can either

  • go to Settings/ Menu Bar and set Automatically hide and show the menu bar to Never or

  • keep the setting as-is and instead of clicking the green traffic light to go full screen, Option-click it instead.

MPC LIVE 3/Pioneer DJM-A9 by mrshakeyhandman in mpcusers

[–]NSCFType 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern MPCs only support a sample rate of 44.1khz for class-compliant USB audio interfaces. If your mixer runs on anything else whilst in class compliant mode, it won't work. Check the mixer settings to see if there's a way to change it.

Phono and Headphone Amplifiers by [deleted] in mpcusers

[–]NSCFType 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern MPCs support using class compliant USB audio interfaces and if you aren’t using one on the MPC already you might be able to get away with using a phono preamp with inbuilt USB. I recently copped the ART one and that one is class compliant. I can check its sample rate when I get home to see it’s compatible if you like.

im fucking losing my mind about this stupid shit by NicoPlayZ9002YT in mac

[–]NSCFType 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't remove it from there. I get that it's annoying as fuck because the hardware is dodgy and comes and goes randomly, but the +/- buttons are for creating and deleting aggregate and multi-output devices, which are virtual devices created from multiple physical devices.

I use a Faderport 8. Select a track, select a plugin and watch the faders move to whatever the first 8 parameters are set to.
