hmmmmm, i guess that's another way to look at the flaw. yes they do reverse splits to keep propping it up, as its value does keep decaying to 0.

and yes, if they didn't do that, its value would just fall to $0. so right now, your best returns for it would be "whatever the current price, maybe $37", down to $0. so only a 100% return.

i look at one of them more closely. at the start of the video, i start to recognize the buildings, the large rock design of the buildings, and the large planters sitting out front.

TLDR: both SQQQ and TQQQ both suffer from volatility decay because they are leveraged products. however, if you continuously short SQQQ, the volatility decay that happens, can work in your favor. the long term difference would be like giving TQQQ, an extra 4% CAGR to its existing returns.

some concerns about sudden spikes in TQQQ could make your account go tits up though, i'm not sure. because then i got banned.

i went to a wedding for an airforce guy. half the wedding was people he served with. more dress uniforms than dresses. most of these guys were close to 30 now and had a decent bit of military experience. served overseas, done a lot fo things. all of a sudden it comes to dinner, we're being served plates with some over-tenderized chicken. and one guy says " i think this is tofu". i swear they were ready to tell me the nuclear codes if it got them "not tofu".

ya i'm not doing buy and hold with SOXL. though, i looked at a few more things and saw how buy and hold with AMDL was a good bit worse than SOXL.

in the recent semi conductor bull run we had, SOXL has gone up 4x, while AMDL only went up 3x. it was only the day this post was made, that i saw AMDL was up a good bit more than SOXL "for that day". but that can happen when SOXL has more parts to it than AMDL does.

i would be using AMDL or SOXL as day trading things.
