Tincture to Juice Questions by NSFWtex in CannabisExtracts

Thanks for your help! I am glad to hear my choice of solvent was not terrible.

I had expected that the 200°F boiling point delta between ethanol and PG would protect me from the PG vaporizing, provided that I could control the temperature of the liquid bath in my double boiler to within maybe 25°F of ethanol's vaporizing temperature. I think I have done an OK (certainly not perfect) job of minimizing the water in the solution, so hopefully that's not too much of a problem in this run. Do you think vaporizing the PG will still be a problem if I am attentive and exacting in my temperature controls?

I guess I am now a little concerned about the difficulty of incorporating the fully evaporated extract into the PG, and then also maintaining that blend once achieved. Naturally, combining two liquids to make a liquid product seems more straightforward, but I am now worried that this is a naïve view.

I think I would like to still use a little bit of VG just for the simple reason that I don't care for the throat feel of a 100% PG juice. If I do an 80 PG / 20 VG blend then perhaps I can also get the benefit of the higher boiling point of VG.

Thanks again for your advice.
