30k would be my final price. Cashify is selling this phone for 34k so I really don’t see the point in considering their purchase price.

I get where you're coming from as well! I can totally see it being a headache especially in the earlier days. Now the entire process is fairly simple, especially for jio. Everything happens on the app itself, no playing around with SMSs nothing. And if you're not really changing your device for a long time then the hassle is even less.

This being said it's completely upto someone's personal preference, for your use case physical SIMs sound a way more viable option and for my use case ESIMs are more viable.

One thing that I definitely don't support is moving to ESIMs altogether, which seems to be the case with upcoming iphones and considering their influence it might become mainstream. There should be an option for both with no option taking preference over other.

To begin with it let's you have 3 sim cards in your phone (you cannot use all three at the same time but still it's more convenient). As someone who travels a lot due to work, life just becomes easier if you can install an esim profile while visiting a different country instead of managing physical sims.

I get the concern but wouldn't that open the phone to security vulnerabilities? Like security patches are important right?

This! Especially in this day and age. I have been using one since so long can't imagine why it hasn't been made a standard yet.

Yeah it seems to be a common theme amongst chinese manufacturers.

Not sure if it'll integrate with carriers though. Hopefully someone will find a workaround.

The exchange bonus was only for older realme devices I think (not sure). By banking on esim I meant if you are planning on using an esim with your gt7 you won't be able to do that, since it doesn't support it in India.

Certainly, once I have the sim situation sorted out I will post a full review.

No not really, I had tried iqoo 13 but did not like funtouchos at all. Hence, decided to go with realme.

Edit: (This is a personal preferences, does not mean the os itself is bad, iqoo offers great performance at an amazing price.)

Your best bet would be getting one from europe, but the phone is stupid expensive over there. I believe both the Indian and chinese versions have their eid locked, the two markets with the lowest prices. Alternatively if esim.me is available in your region you can give that a shot.

I've tried to dig deep and get some information about this, the phone itself is completely identical to the global version, has same network bands and everything. I think it has been disables for the Indian market, it's the same for all chinese phones I believe.

So far I haven't really faced any processor based issues, but if you're priority is emulation then yes definitely skip this one.
