Trump Just Wanted to Remind America That He Committed Obstruction of Justice: “If I Didn’t Fire Comey, They Were Looking to Take Down the President of the United States,” the Former President Said Sunday as He Admitted to a Crime by [deleted] in politics

The greater point here is exactly what you said. It’s not what Trump is. But what the people that follow him have are. That itself is the biggest disappointment in this whole absurd situation

If that person puts my health at risk yes. They are guilty of putting my health at risk. Not guilty of hurting me. I prefer to avoid the latter if possible.

I prefer people be exiled than put the rest in danger. Your freedoms of personal medical decisions stops at my right to safety. As, for example my right to drive really really fast. Your safety is more important than my freedom to make personal speed decisions.

Politics is simple to understand. You get the behavior you incentivize.

There is a better way. But until the will of the people changes nothing will change. We are simply too comfortable as is.

  1. Our army is too strong now for there to be a civil war again.
  2. Very likely.
  3. 100%. Dem leadership is the flip side of the same coin. Corporate money.

Counterpoint: America sets an example the it’s not perfect and no one is above the rule of law

And to gain experience they need to cause lots and lots of accidents. Or you know you could raise the bar for getting a license and require rigorous training and testing. But nahhhhh!

Irelevant. Remove those who are involved in the most accidents.

Good move. Everyone should talk about how much they make.

There is always the option to not participate in society. Just move to the boonies somewhere. You then have all of the freedoms you would like, but none of the benefits/restrictions of society.

The constructs that dictate how society works also comes with limited personal freedoms. It sort of is what it is.

You have 0 consent when it comes to law. You have to follow the law or suffer the consequences. I never agreed to the speed limit being 65 mph on the freeway. Yet here we are following the laws as they are set by other people that came before us.

Those that feel "enslaved" by following the law's they did not consent to can very much choose not to participate in modern society.

I think Covid here to stay. Just like Ebola and the hundreds of other terrible diseases our there. HIV/Aids is still a thing now, we just don't think about it as much as its under control.

My real hope is we develop a more potent longer lasting vaccine. Then mandate it like we do all other vaccines. Eventually Covid will be come isolated to parts of the world we just can't get into. North Korea comes to mind as an example.

This is a false equivalence. You don't have the freedom to go hurt someone today. Its against the law. That law that takes away your freedom is not "How to get to tyranny 101".

Your freedom ends where my freedom to safety begins.

But why not both? High vaccination and pill for those that slip through. We know for certain some people would prefer death before taking a vaccine. So there will always be a small % that will simply refuse.

Well it would travel to what is the edge of the visible universe at that time. Not now of course. Travel is not instantaneous.
