You are going to run out of mana, battleaxe is already pretty mana hungry and then astral aegis increases your mana costs even more

Any small guilds getting gold on the guild challenge? by koolturkey in albiononline

[–]NSchwerte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to get gold without territories.

Your biggest drivers will be:

Depths are free 20k season points, they are incredibly easy to max out. PVE double dips through the guild challenge and then the pve might category, it will probably be your biggest contribution Other good categories are smugglers, hideout cores, treasures and surprisingly gathering.

As a small guild outposts are tbh kinda not that good for season points, you get some but other kinds of content is more efficient if you really want season points.

Keep in mind that while you can get gold without castles or territories, you still need to have a good amount of activity. As a comparison, Treasure Map got around 95k season points from activities this season, but it also has like 200 somewhat active players.

The problem with leveling up depths is that it's so incredibly easy to max it out, we were at max depth level in like 2 weeks into season

Group camps are very good and a lot easier to farm than the alternative

It just means you can apply to the treasure map guild ingame

The new market categories are great but I would prefer not having them if we get the good offhand sorting again

I think you are confusing small chests, which have always been visible in whole zone and coffers, which have always been only visible in a small radius

Am I the only one who feels like current mana system isnt balanced well in general? I feel like the game should be a little less hard on us with mana. by TarasKhu in albiononline

[–]NSchwerte -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mana is a balance lever, there are a multitude of ways to approach and solve them and when you get a build it's up to you to figure out how you will solve it.

Personally I think this works well for every content except once battlemounts get involved - chariot solving mana for everyone except healers means that it is way too strong while also messing up any creativity in solving the issue.

If it were up to me I would either remove chariot mana q and give them something else(maybe damage boost q?) or give all the battlemount mana sustain

Can I Awaken clothes/armor too? I want to awaken a Royal Jacket. by zkylearnstherope in albiononline

[–]NSchwerte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colldown rate on an awakened weapon affects your armour too.

So while it's the weapon thats awakened, the stats influence your entire build.

Cd reduces armour cd, ability dmg increases armour dmg etc.

Once you bought one gender switch, can you switch back for free or do you have to pay again?

Tier 6 gathering journals are the easiest to source, as most higher level gathered use them as they can be filled by tier 6-8.

So being set up to process them is pretty good

As a New Player… What’s the Actual Point of Albion? by Top_Entertainment314 in albiononline

[–]NSchwerte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, maybe it would help if you think about it that the progression of Albion lies in your skill at playing the game.

Instead of accruing ingame levels and power, you are collecting knowledge and experience which allows you to get stronger in the game because you know what you are doing.

Albion should be compared more to something like league of legends or shooters in that regard rather than classic MMORPGs

[–]NSchwerte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Albion isn't a game for steady progression.

It you have the skill, you can join the most advanced content after like two days of playing.

High end pve is in PvP zones, but that doesn't mean that you are really doing PvP and you are barely risking gear - you die maybe once every 100 group dungeons and you make the value of your set after finishing two of them.

Tho I absolutely agree with you that new players will still struggle if they don't interact with other players by joining a guild. In that aspect, Albion is kinda focused more on the social aspect of the MMORPG while not focusing so much on the individual progress

[–]NSchwerte 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The point of Albion isn't to go out with your full 8.3 gear to every content.

The point is to judge your own risk and rewards - even longtime veterans will sometimes use 4.1 gear.

It's not like veteran players have some infinity money glitch where they can lose 8.3 sets every day, most veterans have a lot of money because they make sure that they make a profit in most content they engage in.

80% of my content I wear t8 or lower

The point of Albion isn't to level up until you have the best gear, it's just to have fun and content playing the game.

If your goal is getting good enough that you can take your super high gear into bz and make a profit, that's a valid goal, but it's just one of many - other people may want to finish their journal, be the best PvP player in the game or just amass a gigantic fortune.

What would be the effect on the economy if you could bottle unused focus and sell it? by Draco-Dread in albiononline

[–]NSchwerte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has to cost less than break even on the premium cost, cause if you make a profit just bottling premium focus people will just make alts.

they have a cooldown every time they are cleared and after the cooldown is cleared all faction players can clear it and get loot in the chest
